Didn't know about that. Will try it next time. I saw a splatter effect in snow, so I'm pretty sure that I missed. In patchnotes, we can see many arrow-related bug fixes. Probably it has something to do with this.

Hi Everyone A weird thing happened today. I had just crafted my first bow in trapper's homestead, and spotted a bear walking nearby. Trying to stay at a safe distance I fired an arrow, but unsuccessfully, as the distance was quite long. It provoked him to attack me, but I hid safely in the house. In a couple of hours the bear fell down, and I thought that he decided to take a nap in middle of the field, so I continued to bombard him with arrows. None of them connected (I'm really bad at shooting), and ran out of arrows. Later on, when I saw ravens flying above him, I realized that he's dead. I quartered him and started a feast. I found all my arrows but one. I still don't understand how he died. I have three theories: My first arrow bounced into him (I clearly saw that it didn't connect directly), and he lost the arrow somewhere while running around bleeding out. He ate my arrow as a vengeance gesture to my offensive attitude, and it cut him inside out. He was old, his death was natural, and the arrow was abducted by an UFO. I'm playing on interloper difficulty, and it is nice to see that the game still has something that may surprise me. Did anything as weird happen to you?
