  1. Hey there! I'm an avid follower of The Long Dark. It has been the first game I have truly loved, from the introduction of Coastal Highway to the future of the game. I have over 35 days on the game on my Xbox and around 15 on my PC. I am an Interloper-focused player and achievement hunter. My final one is "Survive 500 days" and I am currently passing time with my pile of meat in Pilgrim. I have learned every region and cannot wait for the CH update and new region. (Maybe containing Perserverance Mills?)
  2. Interloper in Bleak Inlet is more or less just a stealth game if you don't have a bow. I didn't have one but didn't care and made it out fine. I only encountered a timberwolf "attack" at the Summit near Ravine's End where I exited the region after many days of chilling there waiting for an aurora.
  3. If you go to Pensive Lookout, you can see a map on the board with the map of Coastal Highway circling 3 locations. Maybe this has something to do with Episode 4? Post your opinions and theories in the comments, I wan't to know!
  4. Try to gain an advantage with the wind. Wind slows your movement as you qalk more directly into it. If you walk the same direction the wind is blowing, you can move faster. If you're going to a destination and the qind is bloqing to your left or right, try to hug the walls for more warmth and speed.
  5. Try to level up your cooking skill. It will make food basically unlimited as you can't get food poisoning as long as you don't eat raw meat.
  6. Don't Hug The Bear. I know it may look cute and cuddly, but DON'T do it. For real though, watch out for bears. You'll see them standing on their hind legs for a little bit, and that's your queue to get out of there. Once this happens, they are aggravated and you should find any indoor shelter like a cabin, transition zone, or cave you enter via prompt. If you have no shelter, you can fire a distress pistol shot at the bear when it charges at you, scaring it away and giving you time to run. You can find the pistol at these locations: -Summit at Timberwolf Mountain -Ravine in the Ravine Transmission Zone (Follow the tracks through the trail near Carter in Mystery Lake or follow the tracks to the tunnel up the hill near the Fishing Camp in Coastal Highway) -Fallen Lighthouse in Bleak Inlet. As you get better at fighting the bears with the bow and rifle or avoiding bears altogether, the pistol may not be needed. For new players who don't play Pilgrim, the pistol is a valuable tool.
  7. What I do is either use a bow to get a high-damage headshot followed up my rifle shots or hit the bear as much as I can with a rifle. If things go wrong, I bring my flare gun for emergencies. I don't have to wprry about running out of ammo now that ypu can craft it.
  8. It would be very nice if the visuals for the rifle, revolver, and the bow looked different depending on the condition said weapon has. The rifle could have scratches if low condition, the bow could look more scraped and/or damaged, and the metal on the revolver could be rusty and/or have chunks off of the weapon.
