  1. You have to enter the new area for it to show in your map regions.
  2. If you're like me and get lost and frustrated, here's how to get to the new areas:
  3. This is the Steam store page for the DLC, it's called The Long Dark: Tales from the Far Territory: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2091330/The_Long_Dark_Tales_from_the_Far_Territory/ Once you have bought it, you can make sure it's installed by right-clicking on TLD in your Steam Library and going to Properties, then DLC (on the left) and making sure the TLD DLC is checked before launching the game. Good luck and have fun out there in the long cold dark
  4. So having seen the new challenge mode, I have to say that it's everything I wish I could have made Deadman into. It's practically perfect in every way, deliciously mean and unforgiving. There's never enough loot, never enough food, never enough warmth (those scraps you call clothes are barely helping inside!) and always too many wolves. Wolves that are no longer afraid. And dropping you into the new region as the spawn? Just yes. Also, this new region!! So much to dig into heading into the holidays, thank you for the early present!
  5. Yes, updated code for exactly this reason is right above your reply
  6. @JAFO The code needs to change in the OP because a hotfix has turned cabin fever on. To make deadman remain as it was, the new code is: 8MHI-/z8M-Dw++-wSWm-bAAA
  7. Yes, it was to make it so that you aren't reminded to do anything, you have to actually watch your stats. Also the complaining gets really old after about 10 minutes, so if I make a custom mode it always has the whining off. It's not that hard to press tab...
  8. Congrats! Been loving watching the tale unfold. Looking forward to seeing how long he can hold on. With 62% and the gear that you do, I would venture you could make it at least to 50, maybe 70 and beyond. I think your play style matches well with the challenge, so I feel a lot can be learned here for those who are struggling and frustrated. With only 3 files, you've absolutely crushed it. Well done!
  9. I haven't found any benefit to doing so. Carrying the weight of perfectly good food around when you're half-starved is a hindrance rather than a help here. I think this is simply a habit borne of interloper, and it's a hard one to break.
  10. The current record stands at 17 days, achieved by SilverFritz, video here.
  11. I agree. This seems like a valid form of proof as well.
  12. I've thought about this, and while I would like to accept a series of screenshots, it seems just too easy to fake. It would have to run on the honor system. True proof would require a video in some form, which does limit the number of people able to prove the win, but I don't really have another option.
  13. It has not been changed. However, due to the no condition recovery (and the high weather variability), sleeping an hour at a time is the best strategy so the days may seem to be a different length from loper.
