  1. Would a character like Mckenzie shoot at one of the convicts and risking to get killed himself while getting counter attacked by multiple convicts which will lead to him fail with his task to get his precious metal case back - remember, the convicts have already mentioned being aware of the situation for Mckenzie? Bolt-Action rifles are not good for attacking multiple targets - the convicts are armed too - nor are revolvers made for such situations. Odds would be pretty much against Will Mckenzie. Mckenzie as a charackter might seem like a snowflake but is a somewhat smart guy not doing stupid stuff like that.
  2. It was more meant to be kind of a hint for the developers as a possible solution. But you are right. It works as a workaround for us too till Hinterland has updated TLD. So, yeah. As long as a user is able to convert the video with software to .webm the game is able to play them like they should. Have just sent a ticket with that stuff to hinterland support. I recommend to wait till hinterland has fixed the issue instead of tampering around with hinterlands intellectual property. Especially NOT uploading the intellectual property of hinterland to third party servers on the internet!
  3. Yesterday i was able to research some stuff probably related to the issue. Sadly i am not able to open up a ticket and send this stuff to support because i have a important date in a few minutes. Therefore i just leave that stuff here.   4. No Sir! Bells phone design was designed without any batteries and was not in need to use batteries. You were able to use this phone without any battery or external electricity sources over long distances. You can research it. I recommend to you.
  5. I was able to realize it after ProsPex has pointed it out again. You did it too. Even before ProsPex. Yes, thanks again. I don't know. Was it stated or communicated somewhere that it is suppused to be that? Might be possible i haven't read of it and therefore wasn't aware of it. Despite that: It was just a thought of a possible reason regarding the dead and stranded orcas. Namely not functioning orientation because of the distorted magnetic field. And please keep in mind i have written "if a supernova close to our solar system". It was a relative statement regarding astronomic distances. Such an event would not necessarily destroy the earth and our sun. The outcome would possibly similar to a very strong coronal mass ejection. However.
  6. I haven't played sandbox/survival mode since EP 3 came out but i was able to find a new map of CH and i think i am able to see the logs on the right side of the picture - red arrow. The pillars near Log Sort seem to vanish in the future and we will see these changes. Guess we will see similar changes to DP too - i hope so. Cool. Thank you, ProsPex for pointing that out.
  7. That's what i am asking myself too. I guess if a supernova close to our solar system would hit the earth directly it might have consequences on our biosphere and maybe even the magnetic field of our earth resulting in a situation the orcas might not be able to navigate anymore and therefore tend to strand on coastal shores not being able to get back into the life saving deeper waters again. In the cut scene we can see Astrid is coming out of the mine entrance and she is walking directly to the coast. The entrance is at the coast. It can't be the well known mine entrance at CH. I guess it is some region supposed to be on the left side of CH - somewhere left of the rocks making the highway not passable. A region similar to the transition zone of Crumbling Highway. Or we will see the mine entrance in CH getting moved to the shore line at some point. Otherwise it would not make much sense. Because right now you need to walk much longer to get to the shore line - that's not represented in the short part of the end sequence.
  8. Ever heard of Bells design? You can research it. You will find out it is possible. Phones were able to work without any external electricity source. Because they were the source.
  9. The reworked sound files for the bears are cool too. Hinterland did a very great job regarding the sounds. 👍
  10. I like them too. It's a new level if difficulty and fear. Sometimes they act a little weird - f. e. when you have already scared them off and you follow them the music will start again and they seem to try to attack/chasing you but the red hud overlay isn't appearing and they switch between chasing you and fleeing - but overall they are a nice and welcome addition.
  11. No, you don't need to fire the signal flare to spawn the survivors. They spawn as soon as the mission is activated and you enter the search zone - or maybe already as soon as the mission is active. I was able to find my first survivor in the little birch wood with the two burned/broken down houses without firing any flare round. I guess if you need to fire the flare gun - to spawn the survivors - i would not have been able to find the survivor. Maybe you need the flare gun to trigger some kind of signal to find them easier. Can't say anything about that because i haven't fired any flare round yet.
  12. As long as you are doing the rescue missions and you are carrying a survivor the attacks seem to be scripted and not avoidable. Even if you try to avoid them by moving far around them they will attack you. Besides this specific situation they just spawn like other animals and you can avoid them by just moving far around them. Best and easiest approach to scare them off quickly is by waiting till they run directly at you. You need to track all of them what they are doing. The ones chasing and running around you won't attack as long as you watch at them and you keep being in a slight move. The one directly running on to you tend to stand still for 2-3 seconds in front of you as long as you watch at him and that is moment were you can give him a headshot with your rifle. The others will flee immediately. Same with the revolver. I guess it will work with the bow too but i haven't tried the bow yet. Another tactic might be standing slightly off the survivor and wait till one is trying to attack the survivor. For a short moment they tend to stand in front of the survivor without attacking him. That's the moment to give the wolf a headshot. The others will flee immediately.
  13. Oh, obviously i wasn't mindful enough of spoilers and semispoilers. Sorry. Well, i had a very funny moment in pleasant valley while recognising myself and somebody else on multiple occasions - i hope this is mindful enough this time. I really like EP3 so far. It has nice new additions, animations, a good character design and story. I am looking forward to see more.
