How are you doing dealing with the timberwolves? What difficulty setting are you playing at?

I'm on Pilgrim, so no hassle with the wolfs. But I've seen them near the lookout and the pier. I do not think you can aviod them when going to visit Bleak Inlet.

Aurora seems to occure quite often on Pilgrim. Didn't have to wait long to get the door opened. The illumination of the workshop is quite impressing to me.

    Disco time at the workshop:

    Spoiler!

Look what I've found in the supervisor's room there,

  2. I'm really enjoying the new region. It's a bit cold here when it's clear  and windy sometimes (-30°C)...

  3. Interesting ideas indeed, Enigma. But on day 4 you have around -60°C at some point and you can't see past 10 meters. You can't compare the situation to day 1.

  4. With no fear on day 1 I really enjoyed this event. Last year I was too afraid of whatever on day 1 and had a bit panic before day 4 started. You maybe remember the speculations about what was going to happen because of the blizzard striking on Great Bear Island. After I got the 4 day batch, I went on a walk through the blizzard.screen_f101f095-a968-4574-b435-d60958198db6_hi.thumb.png.aa55b49fa1afe00bcb6623f932008e9d.png

Starting in Quonset, tried to catch some fish but they seem to be gone. At least I've found a pumkin pie!screen_9567fb07-6146-4d34-bc82-dd442303aa1c_hi.thumb.png.67a49b4ac9523881c53b85da3f53f77b.png

Slept a bit at sort log.

Then went on to Jackrabbit Island, where my char found redemption. This one is seconds before he faded into the long dark...

i agree but the game should do it not you it must be a quest or something like that given by the game itself

Why should the game do it for you? Im playing 90% sandbox mode, I make up my own stories and quests at the time that I decide. So is 4DON. You can decide whatever you like to do. Loot all 4 regions on day 1? Go out on day 2 & 3 to have fun with the wolfes? Travel through the blizzard at -60°C? Please do not complain when you decide to stay in, you've had the option to do something else :rabbit:

The post says that on day 4 as long as you are near a fire, you will be warm, but I am consistently losing temperature and getting hypothermia risk while parked right next to a fire. Help!

Put some more wood into the fire maybe? Each reclaimed wood gives +3°C

  7. Just visited Misty Falls Cave, nice surprise indeed. Thanks for the tip!😀

By the way I have noticed that I can't run game into wolf anymore, at least not in front of Mountaneer's hut in TWMscreen_511c9062-85d7-41b4-ad69-49fe29350c54_hi.thumb.png.1e028e73b15b696dfd6d3a48de3d8261.png

Wolf keeps running after the game throughout the frozen lake and then they finally dissapear after running up the rocky hill on the right side of the second screenshot...Yesterday the wolf also was not able to get the game, they've run up the slope right of the rocky hill and run and run without getting anywhere. I had to help out with the revolver... anyone had similar experience?

  8.  I decided to visit PV with my long time survivor and see what's happened. Going down from TWM I checked my supplies at the bunker and saw the lost and found crate which contained some of my stuff which I have probably left on the floor. Thanks for that! However I see the meat I had stored on the floor was lost, but o.k. I'm in pilgrim mode so it's not that bad. Then I went in the direction of PV Farmstead. A plane went down at Skeeter's Ridge, the whole area has been a bit remodeled. Found a revolver in the basement there. Do not know if I missed it before. Once I have found the way to the crash site, there were a lot bodies and even more suitcases with clothing. Also a lot nice vegetarian food from board catering. Went on to PV Farmstead and saw what I already feared, all my hoarded meat was gone, but whatever I have new furiture to break down^°

    Vegetarian food:

Tomorrow I'm going to try visit the rural crossroads and signal hill.

  9. Top 10   of  Games that I liked the most in the last 25 years - TES3: Morrowind (TES5 Skyrim was cool too,but TES3 is better for me ), Operation Flashpoint (prequel of Armed Assault), Out of the park Baseball management series, The Long Dark, Everybody's gone to the rapture (short, but very intense experience), Americas Army 2 , WoW,  Motorsport Manager, Farming Sim 17,  American & European Truck Sim 2

  10. I don't judge anyone who does not play pilgrim 😎

I started on pilgrim, learned a lot then went on to play story mode and then tried interloper a few times. Really interesting eperiences. This game is so cool , it offers something for almost everyone. Finally I like the peace and the challenge of pilgrim most. I can understand that for some pilgrim is not challenging enough and frustrating in the long run.  I can also understand that interloper can be boring and frustrating for people.

My current pilgrim run is almost at 700 days and after spending the last 2 weeks in game gathering coal and stick in desolation point and crumbling highway, I decided to go back to my home at Quonset just to fish a lot to get some oil for my lantern. Now I have to carry all the fish from the hut to the garage. And I can't wait to go back to timberwolf mountain and finally start improving my revolver shooting skills. So much to do here even after almost 700 days!

honestly looking at this it seems to me that your hit was to the left of where you aimed it's also higher then you aimed

As far as I see I have taken the shots from further away this time. You have to consider that there is always a split second between both screenshots and the rifle & sights are moving. In addition to that I was hungry and overloaded. I was also more windy. However, I feel it's much better now than it was before the fix.

PS - Both shootings were made by a char with no shooting expirence at all (my pacifist 😀). So movement of rifle & sights is quite a chellange.

im not trying to argue but in my experience if you find a poster or sign with a straight line on it to line up with your sights with and fire the hit mark will be much lower then where you aimed at, there's pics on the first page of this thread where someone else is showing this happening.

Actually this has been fixed some months ago. Now it looks better. Consider the new aiming mechanics.image.thumb.png.b2920d8346d1821a5eee36cdd55fc520.png

  14. Whoa, that's surprisingly difficult to answer. I know the places I hate: the mines and tunnels, that's for sure. 🤬

Hm, my favourite place must be the hut at the bottom of Timberwolf Mountain. A bed, actually two, a nice fireplace, a nice 40 kg container, work bench. Fishing hut in close range. A wolf and 2-3 dear on the lake plus some rabbits. Endless stick supply. It's a paradise in pilgrim. Better than any place in Mystery Lake. 😀
