  1. Isn't that the canadian version of the PBR. Come onnnnn 8 seconds. https://prnt.sc/xzz00n
  2. Required training when you get off the plane.
  3. Found 1 of them. 1 day 10 hours but didn't go for game time.
  4. I think the record is around 3 hours. Prepped all the coffee from the start and ran most of the way. Look for videos when challenges 1st added to the game.
  5. It usually takes a few hours of you not being around before 1 will be caught. I think there's a minimum time before 1 will be caught. I don't think I every seen 1 actually get caught but it's better to not be in sight of 1. As far as I remember as I think it was mentioned somewhere. You can be inside right next to them or leave sight of them. If you can throw a rock and make them jump. Your to close. Even sleeping for 8 hours works. If you come back and there's broken traps. You know they are working.
  6. I'm all for them continuing on with wintermute. I'm restarting as part 4 was added and I'm sure there's more. As I stated. So if they have more, then keep adding. I just thought about it looked into how long it's been since release. It's been 3 yrs since release and probably 2-3 before release as most (not all) of the core aspects were in place before they made it public. Your talking at least 5-6 yrs. What's next? Just saying I'd like to see another game from them. Posibly a survival as this is the best survival I've ever seen that is the most realistic. Once you die about 40 times in the 1st 10 days before you figure out how to survive. What's next? I'm sure there has been other ideas rumbling around up there. Expand the team and break into 2 teams and realease another game and continue to work on an already great game and We'd have 2 great games to play. Yes. What is it? I want in. Let me know before anyone else. Beta testor needed? Just let me know? Maybe they are already working on something and we don't know it. wink wink nudge nudge. Spoilers welcomed here. Mums the word. What are they cooking up, up there.
  7. It's been awhile since TLD came out. Expanded the team. Through a whole story mode and still adding great content events and things. I'm curios if there are any thoughts on the next project/sequal. Maybe same event but different setting. After Mcenzie finally made it out and decided to take a vacation. He took a flight to Euorope or back and while over the North Pole the plane goes down. Ohhh. Here we go again. Maybe he made it south to warmer weather looking for civilization and now has to survive in a mild forest. Maybe a desert where you have to deal with the sun and heat exaustion. Survival on ANTARTICA. I'm not saying it's time to move on if you have more content planned. Just wondering if there are any ideas rumbling around up there. All good things have to come to an end at some point. I'd be all for a seuqual to the story finally seeing Mckenzie escape the area and have to survive in a different setting.
  8. The fog is tied to real time. Sleeping, crafting, passing time is tied to game and real time. Sleep for 10 hours takes 5 deconds of real time. Before leaving any area stop and sleep to get fully rested before moving into the next area. Even if the fog is at 99%. It just effects your ability to see. So even if it's at 100% you can pick up your sleeping bag. Take 2 steps and your out of the area. It is a strategy to take as much time as you can in an area but if your just trying to get achievment. Keep on the move. Pick a path from entry to exit. Pass by the fire, cook food water craft orginize your gear to lighten the load as much a possilbe. Keeping bandages for sprains and blood loss, always need to be able to run. I ignored the pain and trugded on. The main things to pick up are food, water, flares. A log or 2 some sticks along the way, coal is a better replacement when you see it, as you may need to start a fire to sleep but only keep enough for the amount of time you need to sleep. Don't carry enough for 2 fires. You can always grab more. Run sparingly like your just doing a light jog. If you run as much as the game allows you'll be encumbered to much to make it to the exit and a good place to sleep before you get there. Where you can sleep safely, pick up your bedroll and leave. If you need to double back through a zone like Forlong Muskeg, Mystery Lake. DO NOT DWADDLE. Get through so when you come back you'll have some time before the fog sets in. For Mystery lake I came in from the ravine. Sticking to the left along the river and bypassed the green fire. Allowing me to stop at it on the way back before heading into the dam. The fire will go out in 15 minutes if you use it. Also drop any items near the exit to pick up on the way back. Sticks, cans, pot etc. That doesn't mean you have more extra space to carry. It just means you'll be lighter and use less energy in the next area. Maybe run ahead to get to a car, house, camp trailer, but don't spend all day in there looting everything. Check a cabinet or 2, a drawer. 1st food item you find. Get out and keep moving. Always stay on route. The shortest distance between entry and exit is optimal to complete the challenge. I used 3 wards as lures in the caves and 1 other behind the dam. Other than I had 8 or so extra cans. It may spawn in front of you so I would find an intersection. Walk back around 2-250 feet. Spray the lure and wait in the side tunnel. As soon as the lure dissapears meaning it found it. Then start running. I didn't think I would be able to do it. Survived 20 minutes 1st try then almost 3 hours and got 6 pages till the wolf got me in Pleasant valley. The lighter you keep your load the less energy you use and the more you can keep going. Remember you can hit escape to pause and think about your next move. You can find maps on steam and wiki to help.

  10. I didn't pay attention to the sound. I used the distance measurement to tell the direction. You can go at an angle and tell that it's getting closer or farther and use triangulation to get an estimated direction. Then turn 90 degrees and. Ok it's over there. Depending on my destination, exit or campfire. If I keep going at 90 degrees to I will eventually get away from it. Even if it does come within 450-500f The 1 advantage is that when it spawns or maybe it might be when it's around 700-800f you can hear the stomping. Maybe they could just add a rumble to controlers or a very slight visual shake to border of the screen to tell you it's on the hunt. As it gets closer they could add the darkwalker effects sooner on 1 side or the other and more definitive to tell direction.
  11. Just a little more and I would have made it to the safety of the cave from Pleasant Valley to Timberwolf. 2 hours 40 minutes farther than I thought I would get on 2nd attempt after a 50 minute attempt.
  12. TLdark just got really dark. 😲
