  1. i dont get it ... Mountain town is probably the place with more resources of any other ... And that rope climb is not that tragic since also there is the cave nearby and the picnic area hut just after...
  2. I just need one last map, one last feeling to go into uncharted territory, one last feeling to scavenge for things, one last feeling to survive a night outdoor fighting to not die,
  3. i play a custom settings that keep interloper harsh conditions while retaining Stalker items quantities/spawning and lowering a bit items deterioration ratios (similar to voyager) After so many years of playing what keeps me moving around is to find a couple of cans of food (i use 3 food itms mods) and place them in my base ... I like to return base and place some other food on the scaffolds... a new can of coffee... some ingredients for cooking. Thats gives me the vibes of "surviving"+"nice cozy home", two things that for me are necessary. challenges like surviving 30 days hopping on one leg doesnt interest me much.
  4. i think is very much related to the style/difficult of play... i like to make long trips finding the last loot possible so the belt is very useful to lower the weight, travel faster and sprint more (to avoid wasting arrows/ammo on wolves)
  5. another obvious recipe should be the deer ham, long conservation, perfect for surviving
  6. I've found the belt an excellent item while the travois almost useless for me. At higher levels of difficulties you want to move fast , being able to sprint when in danger and have the ability to carry those kgs more without slowing down. The belt does all that. The crampons can be easily worn when you need them (but i agree that one "special" item should not exclude another)
  7. I really dont see this being a big thing ... you need to eat anyway all the rockfish sooner or later (even just to be able to prepare the recipe later) and if you are a bit into the game you have already the tools that makes carrying 6 kg more not a big deal. Moose satchel and tool belt (and well feed) ...
  8. another obvious recipe should be the sandwich ... the classic way of men to carry food around, and would fit very well TLD needs There are little things in TLD to stuff the bannocks/bread but some can be tin of sardines or fish (fried) or peanut butter or ham or cooked ptarmigan so recipes can be made in simple crafting, assembling things (with the need of a knife) bannock+cooked fish+salt bannock+peanut butter bannock+sardines bannock+ham bannock+cooked ptarmigan+salt
  9. i use all food mods that exists because going around to gather (very little) food is what makes my TLD trips worth (on maps that i know so well)... I enjoy store food in my (mindful) cabin. It's what makes the game to be still worth playing. Regarding the best food ... as an Italian i am waiting for Pizza : flour+salt+oil+tomatoes (crushed from mod or soup)+water+ maybe herbs (from indoor greenery mod). Of course it will never arrive ...but ...

    Home

In my experience there are never problem of freezing inside, but i play a modified stalker difficulty ... The climate of the regions is horrible (-45 and more) but inside there is a steady temperature , that i think will not change THAT much in interloper. And that lead me to another problem of living in the mindful cabin, the weather... Always stormy with very few beautiful skies (Forlorn Muskeg have the best ones). That makes also little trips a bit dangerous since you can also get a bit lost. I really hope that in the next region there would be the "definitive" home...
  11. some recipes i thought ... Pizza .. flour, tomato soup (there is a mod with crushed tomatoes btw) even if not 100% realistic, salt, herbs (option from interior greenery) + water + oil roasted potatoes... 2 x potatoes + 1 carrot + salt + oil... is a classic, even only for the eyes. classic potatoes and carrots pot ... 2x potatoes + 2 x carrots + salt + water

For me is the Mindful Cabin in Forsaken Airfield. It's the home i would want...great views and most of all i can see outside from the inside ... is a necessary thing for me otherwise it would seems "fake". It have 2 major problems A) no "interior" containers so food that has to be kept inside will deteriorate fast B) is very far away from everything ... Both things are not a problem for me since i moved there day 600, so i enjoy long trips and all the "inside" food remained (little) was consumed already (except many peaches/corn cans left for recipes) I really hope that in the last map/s there is a great isolated cabin with external views (and "real" windows) and some "interior" containers .
