  1. Battery Gang Five is impossible to move all together. Ya gotta keep'em separated Like the latest fashion
  2. Looks to me like a warning of a collapsing weak tunnel.
  3. Looking everywhere for signs of Spring regrowth. Found this branch growing out of a stump. Also another installment of Goat Hooves On Roofs Wreck Of Old Ninety Seven Trying to get to Spencer on time, the engineer issued an order to shovel on more coal. The result caused the train, keep in mind this train is not thirty eight but old ninety seven, to go ninety miles an hour. Loss of air brakes and going down on a three mile grade caused the train to jump. Witnesses to the tragic event reported that the whistle broke into a scream. Steve the engineer was found dead amongst the wreckage. Found grasping the throttle he was scalded to death by the steam. A tellagram was issued through Washington station to his bereaving family. Included are details that Steve was couragous and kindhearted.
  4. Battery is lonely. Been looking for more of them. Decided to go to Bleak Inlet. Whilst down there an odd thing happened. Battery was not found. Dear was found. This was not a rotting carcass. It was 45% frozen. My guess is the Twolf got it. Maybe once I entered the radio shack the wolves despawned and left this deer for me. As an offering? Felt like it was a trap. Butchered the dear ate my full and made my way back to the lookout. It was a trap. For breakfast I trotted back to the campsite. Ran to the shack for a warm up. A blizzard rolled in and from the shack I made my way back to where I butchered the deer. Grabbed the leftover steaks and decided to head back to the lookout. Low and behold the twolves show up. I am just shocked and run to the hole near the rosehip bush. Always thought meeting predators during blizzards does not happen.
  5. Run and tell your family these Videos comes out in May!
  6. Battery !?! From another dimension.
  7. One of the best times for travelling. Storm time for most interlopers is a great time to pack up 10 kg of raw meat and head to a new region. Predators during blizzards have trouble seeing hearing smelling you. Want to walk around BI and not worry about pesky timberwolves bring hot teas and stroll around during a blizzard. A couple chunks of coal to warm another batch of teas and you can cross most regions during a storm. Just remember to stay out of the wind. The strong winds will tear your clothes up.
  8. You are right. Frostbite cannot be healed by any means. Also the sleep and heal is way overpowered. On interloper you can starve all day eat a snack before bedtime and heal all the way back plus more than what was lost. In my opinion on interloper the sleep heal should be nerfed or taken away. There are other ways to heal already in game.
  9. Took the common trail route to the summit. Climbed four ropes while holding the twins. Well fed was utilized and allowed me to carry 5 kg of stuff: stims and fire starting along with teas and coffee. Last Rope Sprinted to the crashed plane. Dropped the twins off. Stand On Guard
  10. In the beginning before the collapse there was economic troubles across Europe. Now we see that ZAP brand corporation was huge and was monopolizing diverse markets and leading as largest manufacture in the world. Autowalk is coming and this Battery Ascension challenge will become less of a burden. Currently I employ an autowalk which is making the walking with twins less tedious. Able to sip a beverage while moving 1 meter per hour is great. I do propose a rule change that makes this more feasible and funner. Battery Ascension challenge: Battery can be placed down but never abandoned. Battery can only be placed down for pictures and for rope climb. When approaching a rope climb. Battery is tied to rope at bottom. Climb up rope. Battery from backpack then holds top of rope while the lower one is brought to top. imagine that you are pulling the rope from the top. Instead climb down the rope. Battery is picked up and brought up rope. Battery twins reunited.
  11. Walking from the Maintenance building was breeze. The blizzard that whipped up had the wind at my back which did push me along speeding the slow walk. The storm lasted all the way to the poachers camp. Now standing at the edge of the muskeg and heading towards the lake. Spent the night at the camp office. In the morning was sunny and mad it to the dam. Food is scarce now and the rotting carcass was a meal. Pushed on to the Valley and spent time fixing clothes at the draft dodger's cabin. At the plane crash I saw a lonely crow. Now at the Point of Disagreement. Trimmed the backpack down to 35 kilograms. The warm tea and stims should get me to the hut in short time. Time to rest.
  12. Seems crows are also practicing social distancing. Lonely Crow
  13. The tinder can also be made into tea that heals. Rare it is for me to use birch bark as tinder.
  14. The Rosehip has become used less. Once these berries could fix a sprain. Now a drink of rosehip just removes pain. Time to prepare and added weight. Pick a total of twenty four. Now I pass rosehips by and just ignore.
  15. Battery spawns alright just the availability is low. Look what I found last night. Battery and moose was what I came to Broken Railroad to find. No moose at the lodge. Was planning on using the satchel to load up to make the journey to the valley smoother. Maybe it is best to forget the satchel take the twins with me and just go. On another note comedy in the olde days was different than today. One of the best straight man was Bud Abbott. His ability to keep a straight face (during a live show) in the midst of Lou's comedy madness made their routines golden.
  16. Keep it on going is the best. These days homemade baked goods are becoming popular.
  17. Did you look closely? It might already be there?
  18. I considered going further down towards the cannery but my return route would have to take me to the muskeg. So instead the coast and valley was chosen. Battery was not found in either region and now I am back at the dam. Going to head towards the lodge and tool up along the way. Had luck there before when trying out the new walkingdead challenge. Battery was found in the garage on a bench or out in the car by the lodge. Battery on loper are scarce. This challenge on loper is not just about climbing more to do with searching and logistics.
  19. You are right. There is another drink mix that uses blackberry and I got them mixed up. Both are still really tasty mixed with a little 99% strong home made natural sanitizer. The blackberry looks like a "little bunch of grapes" and the black current is a string of berries. The black current is used best in traditional Canadian style butter tarts. The butter tart can be bastardized and contain raisins. The oldest recipe known to Canada has black currents. Unlike raisin being sweet the black currant is tart and contains little seed that offers a proper crunch. Black currents were once at war with the united states or maybe it was the other way around. The black current became contraband within the united states. Wikipedia Blackcurrants were once popular in the United States as well, but became less common in the 20th century after currant farming was banned in the early 1900s, when blackcurrants, as a vector of white pine blister rust, were considered a threat to the U.S. logging industry.
  20. Battery was found in Milton. Been with me ever since and this is the first time out of the back pack. Battery says take this for safety. Looking for the twin and headed down to the coast. Looked briefly. Not bothering to go to the quonset and heading towards the valley.
  21. @Admin Maybe Add Tag that specifies a Suggestion for The Long Dark One or Suggestion for future Long Dark. Suggestion TLD Suggestion TLD Future
  22. There are many who are in The Long Dark that do not kill for the necessities such as food or clothing. Some will post pictures of countless wolf hides that spell out "HELP" on the ice. (Picture missing. I looked for an hour and cannot find it.) Others kill for profit. Consequences could limit the kill rate. When Crows Cry Crows can recognize your face. This has been tested and documented. The crows will even teach their offspring. Here is a simple killer consequence. Kill fifty critters and crows cry and warn other animals of a killer approaching. Predators will sneak up on you. Prey animals will flee. You will need to fish for awhile if you need to eat some protein. Appease the crows with boxes of crackers, maybe they will like you again and give you warning to the bear. Do you have a killer consequence? Delete from here. @Admin For some reason the videos are messing up the spoiler and it starts to nest them instead. Go ahead and delete this example once you recognize what is happening. text in between spoilers I wanted two videos in spoilers and text in between them.
  23. This game knows what I am doing? The other day I found Battery in Milton and was overjoyed. I then started to figure that going to Milton from the beginning would be faster to complete. So I started another interloper and carefully picked the badges I would use. The stamina buff and fire starting. The runner buff is not really important, there is no lack of food. The fire starting offers easy starts and no tinder. The stamina is most important cause of all the running. Going naked I will need to make warm up tea by the fire and run to alleviate the slow pace. The spawn was HRV.
  24. My Spring Jeep is the greatest simulator of all time. The plot is straightforward. Faced with economic collapse that spread rapidly through Europe. America initially cut-off from the world and residents were forced to become self-sufficient. Later, supplies were manufactured locally and brought throughout the mainland, and haulers trucked between those who welcomed the supplies and those who supported continued self-sufficiency. The Jeep, old and broken down, has to be repaired. Vehicle replacement parts are scarce and the task of finding resources to re-assemble the jeep makes this an interesting endeavor. Looking at the old Jeep for a weak frame was paramount. The inspection reveals no major problems. There is rust around the bottom of the passenger door and both rocker panels. These will need repair but is not much of an issue. Open the hood and the engine appears oily. The crank case bypass hose is missing. The keys usually would cause the engine to turn over. Battery was weak and needed to be charged. Clean the posts and with a charged Battery still no crank. Sometimes with stuff that sit around it will get seized. Turn the engine by cranking on the Crankshaft, and it turns. The Harmonic Balancer looks beat though and since the serpentine belt is missing it does not matter much. Try turning the keys. cranks over sluggishly. Then no crank. Battery will be the first item to search out.
  25. This time instead of a start in P.V. the spawn was the muskeg. Trekked over to M.L. then onto P.V. Brought tools for the job. Battery is still hostage. Battery is nowhere. Onto the Coast. Then in desperation head over to Town. My prayers are answered. Did a little jig when I found all Battery. Definitely nothing to do with obsession. Towards the Mountain will be a long journey walking around with a leadfoot. Those who laugh last laugh the loudest.
