  1. I think the one at the rope to TWM from pleasant valley is still active too. But that one makes sense cause it's a guaranteed bunker and pretty essential location to stop at.
  2. I'm imagining the top is ONLY accessible via that lift (or at least the way down.) the peak would be survivable long term but not somewhere you want to be waiting for the next aurora... itd have a nice pretty ski lodge and meager food and wood, but only enough to get you to the next aurora if you're smart.
  3. I thought of a mountaineering skilll too, but another skill to grind out for the skilled survivor achievement would suck and I'm not sure theyll be adding more! I would take it tho! I just thought the two items you need to combine would encourage exploration of multiple peaks rather than climbing up an down the same rope. It being in random designated locations also discourages people just gabbing it right away in one region like the moose hide satchel or crampons. If it is a skill tho, I think skill points should given through distance of rope. Otherwise, the huge climbs will reward the player the same amount as the really short ones. I agree though that half climbs shouldnt count and the skill reward given when reaching the end.
  4. Id love a glacier region (With a Moraine), a weather station, A ski resort with lift that works during aurora.
  5. Could also be te mainland. Too many cars for Great Bear IMO!
  6. With all these rare items being added like the ballistic vest and crampons I have a few ideas of my own! Some gear I'd really like to see would be something like a safety harness and descender for rope climbing! It wouldnt need a new map develop to encourage exploration to find either, heres how: How it'd work is that you have to explore two of Great Bear's highest peaks to complete the set (I.E. both are guaranteed to spawn somehwere at the top of a challenging rope, but never together). Once the player has found both they would equip the harness before a climb and can hang on the cliff face anywhere to regain stamina. Itd also allow descending ropes while encumbered (but not ascending for balance? Maybe you need crampons equipped too?) They would not effect exhaustion drain however, but you won't fall! If you run completely out it's back down the rope for you.
  7. Crouching does steady shots. Irl you prop your elbow on your knee. I would like to see this implemented for those cave crawls tho. Would add to the claustrophobia!
  8. Itd be cool for a mod, but from what I gather the aurora and geomagnetic anomalies are irritating the wildlife and making them unusually aggressive. This is extra apparent during an aurora.
  9. It is frustrating, why should they be so hard to click? I understand they're so plentiful and easy to find but it doesnt feel like intentional game design to make them have hitboxes you have to click with pinpoint accruacy. Sometimes where you have to click isnt even on the actual model. And having loot you can see but not collect by any means is ultra frustrating too, especially if you walked off the beaten path for it. It feels unpolished and doesnt contribute to any fun in the game nor is it some sort of skill check on the player. It's got to be a bug.
  10. I swear every update the old man's beard lichen gets harder and harder to grab. Either our character gets shorter or the hitbox gets smaller cause now there's some I cant even reach! Some I have to look straight up to get when I dont remember having to, others I can easily reach but the hitbox is misaligned and tiny. Please increase the harvesting hitbox or something, they're starting to be more trouble than they're worth.
  11. Something something, bark is bigger than its bite. I'm not as creative lol.
  12. Ash canyon in some places has birch bark the size of your entire screen when picking ut up. lol.
  13. Raytracing in this game would be downright broken hehe. You'd be able to see in a lot of places you cant currently. I think giving spraypaint a dim glow would be nice and not really break the game. Like how minecraft's spider eye textures arent affected by light level.
  14. From what I've experienced, the animals are much more varied and unpredictable since the FA update. They stay in their relavltive zones but can be anywhere in that. Also sometimes they'll despawn and reappear in another zone accross the map. I think it's good enough as is but a few more specificbehaviors based on their needs would be great. For example, I keep dying to wolves during a blizzard, when theyre supposed to despawn. They should have a sheltered area they head to during storms and if you stir them up they should act terriorial and not hungry. Escaping their turf or wasting their time should be enough to deter them and they shouldn't go into full hunt mode on you.
  15. Ooh, makes me think an item varient for a heavy hammer would be cool. Maybe it churns out things faster but with a 5 percent condition knock on the new item. Or it's more useful in wildlife struggles but less so in crafting.
  16. 3 hours if you're "comfortable". 2 hours if you're uncertain. For full rest you need ~12 hrs sleep. It usually gets colder late at night so I sometimes do a hybrid of two 3hr sessions and then three 2 hr sessions as night advances. Blizzards override and 2 hrs max on those.
  17. Oops. For clarification this is on Ash Canyon in Pilgrim difficulty. I'm learning the map. My game is not at latest version due to no internet access.
  18. I walked up from Climbers Cave to the cliff edge, saw the crows, but can't locate this body! Any help letting me know where it is? I suspect it is invisible.
  19. I think they mean AI generated art. Not AI writing resumes and applying for a position.
  20. "How do we sleep while our beds are burning?"
  21. I honestly really like valheims food system for a survival game. Its an option to consider if youre not making something ultra realistic! Essentially you cant starve but food in you raises your maximum health/stamina. Different foods buff differently and it encourages a variety of food sources. It's kind of a fresh system that you should at least look into. As for a true survival game. I like when you have a max calory store to limit how much you eat, but then let calories descend to negatives when the bar empties. This prevents people from just eating last minute and restoring health. To prevent eating a whole cow in one sitting you might need some way to calculate fullness by weight of food eaten.
  22. I agree with the brandishing confusion, i really wish that still were in game. Felt much more desperate and interactive. Animal AI still needs work and the wolves have gotten so aggressive! Sometimes they'll run into me ans attack me after I throw my flare, or sometimes ignore the flare throw completely! Spraypaint is actually a good addition. I also had my doubts about it, but spraying it down reveals your current position on the map, good for new players and for triangulating those darn memento caches. It also lets you make your own landmarks! (yes it can be done with sticks etc but..) Glimmer fog is probably not fully implemented till the story elements of TFTFT come out. I agree firestarting and fishing need work. Especially that firestarting level 3 perk. I also think cooking needs a perk rework too. Too many skill level perks just up and delete a mechanic's depth. Im excited for the photo development! It seems like a way to make late game more interesting while not (as I know of) forcing players to interact with it. Item varients are a step in the right direction and I think a few of our problems will be addressed in the coming updates. I understand the concern though! This game is pretty dear to me and some changes have bothered me but a vast majority of the changes I end up liking once i had time to play around with it.
  23. Could be like a party spot. Or maybe a recent worksite. Campsite? Cause of fire?
  24. I'd be okay with that @hozz1235but only if they lowered the point requirements to level along with it. Do you know how much clothing needs repaired to get to 5?! Would make it potentially impossible on interloper or if you ruin a lot of clothing too.
  25. I do like the sewing machine idea, but i think an old footpedal machine would fit the game's theme a little more. Tiers locked behind certain character levels is a great way to extend a run's busy stage. However, I dunno if I like the different kinds of cloth harvested from various items. When resources get too specific it can make things less fun. Imagine if scrap metal was like 10 different types and only 1 could fix your lantern. Finding/hunting the unique materials sounds great though! Or maybe having to find and read a specific book to learn the crafting recipie.
