  1. I think some "collectibles" could appear after some time, like a white wolf after day 200, in some part of the map, where you can hunt and make an exclusive coat, or a more precise hunting rifle in a corpse, after day 500, or a partially sunken boat, with great loot could suddenly appear at some costal area, after day 1000, for example.

This wont change the essence of the game, but it will introduce some challenges and some things do wait for and survive longer.

I have a few saves with 200 - 700 days, on stalker/interloper, where I left and started a new game to look for new adventures...

I have seen possible explanation. But it was loong time ago. It was on the bridge before the dam in Mystery Lake. I was coming to the dam rifle ready, because of the pesky bridge keeper. I heard bark and then I saw the wolf. It was falling from the sky. It missed the bridge edge and fell down to the river. It was dead on the spot.

I remember I was coming from the loading area. So it was nothing like I was entering map from a building or something. So the wolf was spawned when I was already on the map.

So maybe new spawn wolf, but the Z-axe was wrong? It seems like the game is computing fall damage for animals as well.

    That makes sense.

  3. I gladly pay for more content to The Long Dark. I already bought it on steam and Microsoft store, if this means more Co tent for more time. I first bought the game 4 or 5 years ago, and it still is the game I play the most, and I expect to play many more. Thanks for a great game, constantly evolving and growing.

I swear I didn't kill this wolf (despite my revolver in hand 😅). There was no bleed around i, it was just sitting there. I should have checked out the condition of the meat to see if it's old or not.

It happened to me, on CH, just after the mine exit, walking to the lookout. It was my first visit in that run, and I found it very odd. Just like yours, a frozen perfect wolf carcass.

Always make and carry a few fishing tackle, as they are also your sewing back up.  Super light and multi-use.

Also - extra prybars make good ice hole smashers.  Leave one in your favorite hut and save your knife and hatchet for other things.  😀:huntingknife:🐺

Another tip... Use your tackle to sew until the condition drops to less than 10% and after that use only to fish. There is no difference between tackles with 100% or less to fish.

Started in Timberwolf Mountain, spent night at the transition cave near summit. 2nd day I looted whole tail section and I'm ready for a cold weather.

Interesting fact - some of containers in the Tail Section were bugged. I was able to loot some of the doors twice, sometimes with different effect (but in the "coffie + tea" container I got coffie + tea twice). Can someone confirm this bug?

I just posted that on the hot fix thread. I see this too.

  7. On the summit, I was able to open the same container twice. the ones with lantern, peanut butter, coffe and tea, for example.

Later, I realized that the containers are overlapped, ther are one inside of the other, the same way we used to find in some fishing cabins.

I did not test in another run, please can someone confirm this?

Back when I was still trying to unlock Faithful Cartographer I had a guy who'd been around the world a thousand times surveying and re-surveying everything over and over.  I was walking up the fallen tree bridge in the Ravine. My cat jumped up in my lap and jostled my hand, causing me to walk right off the log and into the abyss.

Anything that's harvestable after ruination will stay. That's why food disappears and clothing doesn't.

Yeah, this is true to any container, just need to check if it happen with the lost and found boxed too. Most likely yes.
