They're premium steel-core matches that never break (joke)

ha maybe, either way i have submitted this to their support portal. Maybe it needs tweaking/fixing.

I also submitted another bug trying to place an axe on the work bench at TWM hut seems to be an issue still.

  2. Why are matches so heavy? anyone else noticed this? for example I have a box of 36 wooden matches and the weight says .30KG.

I also have 36 Bullet casings and they weigh 0.18KG which seems fine.

So why do matches weigh more than bullet casings which are  made of brass? Seems a bit odd to me!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who has to look away from the screen when snapping a rabbits neck. I remember the first time I stunned a rabbit by hitting it with a stone, I was so excited and happy till I picked it up and it gave me the choice to release it or kill it. I shrieked "NOOOO! WHY WHY WHY!" The guilt consumes me, those big brown eyes staring up at you.

its a game not real life get over it. eat a rabbit or dye of starvation game play?

I think we're going to have some problems getting fuel for the fire. It is unlikely that free spawn is possible under burned trees.

And take a look at this. I think it's a suspension bridge ? what do you think?

Raphael's tweet today suggests possibly next week the update will go live, if all goes well with testing.  I would think more towards the start of the week since that gives them more time to work on the inevitable bugs and problems that will show up.

there was also new screenshot. what caused the burn? volcano maybe? meteor?

this morning the first snow came here in finland, and i almost slipped on The icy Road, and then I tought it would be a nice mechanic to TLD that you could slip while moving on ice just like you do on steep hills, except it often happends very unexpectedly and The damages can be worse. For example concussion If you hit your head or some other limb on The hard ice. The chance of slipping depends on how fast are you moving.

This gives us a whole new contexts of having friction on your shoes. The More friction they have, the most likely you are not going to slip. For example some leather shoes have very little friction and you are very save with some boots like The insulated boots. The amount of friction is different on different shoes. You could add more of it on your shoes by using a sharpening Stone, or sandpaper, or a cheese grater, or by making more grooves on your shoes or maybe there is a whole new tool for that (ok maybe The cheese grater idea was a bit cheesy). This could also prevent slipping on steep hills.

Now i guess the smoothnes of The ice depends on the weather, like If there has been a big blizzard and theres a lot of snow and the ice has made a Cracked and rough top layer. Or If its just very cold, the ice might Be very smooth or something, i don't know how the temperature effects ice, but im pretty sure it does somehow.

This could Be a very annoying mechanic for sure, but it would make the game harder, and what mechanic that makes the game harder isnt fun!

I think Crampons and snow shoes have been suggested a few times, would be a great addition to travel that bit faster across ice or soft snow.

First playthrough, made it to 38 minutes, mostly because I instead of just trying to escape the region faster, started looting the area like I usually do in a survival game. First mistake. XD
And to add insult to injury, whilst trying to get to the closest transfer to a different area, I was scared shitless from a deer running towards me out of the fog.
This challenge is spooky enough without random deer almost running you down...

I don't mind the deer they can't kill, least no bears / wolves.

Yes, I'm having lots of issues with "hitboxes" for selecting things on the ground. For example, I have a pile of 20 or so reclaimed wood on the floor in the Camp Office (ML) that I dropped all at once, and it only triggers on the outskirts of the ends. In some spots I can get almost 1/4 of the length away and still pick it up, but can't in the middle (I still see the white dot though).

I'm noticing it more on corpses, since they tend to be much larger. I almost was unable to pick up a snared rabbit that seemed to be on rather flat snow as well. Had to dance all around it to find the sweet spot. I'm working on doing a little video to submit.

Yes i have also noticed this with any drop items, food, wood etc.  seems hard to pick up items.

  9. Does any one else think these barrel burn way to bright? cooking a steak on these fires would be black and crispy. I guess its harder to cook on these drums due to size/depth of fuel but yeah it would be nice if the flames went down when cooking so you can see what your burningscreen_7b6cc544-5cee-4ae3-8586-0e571c568225.thumb.png.54447631b08408b377ce8e285af14873.png/cooking?
