  1. I guess it was a way to push people to explore that zone? Frankly I'm a little sad that the transition was that "drastic". They should've left what we could do before separated from new stuff at the forge, at least until more forges are added.
  2. I would agree with that. The esc key in this situation was unknown to me. I never died directly from harvesting, but I previously died following lowered stats due to a wrong selection of tool, which increased the harvest time enough to make me loose a lot of condition, resulting in me dying later on. I had no idea I could cancel a harvest.
  3. I'd be curious as to know whether they are still on time or not though. As an intense Star Citizen backer, I kind of lost hopes in deadlines by now so some reassurance that the release period is still more or less accurate would be great! By guess is summer 2016 but that's just me talking through my hat,
  4. Please. Hot water. Boiled water should be too hot to use until cooled down or give a heat bonus (especially with a thermos implemented eventually ). It can then be used for various things : Easier ice breaking, other yet unknown functionality, etc. Also, sticks and wood in general should not be usable immediately if salvaged outside. It should be "cured" around fire or at least inside a house, to dry it out, prior to being usable for fire, or at least to make it viable as a starter. Maybe wet wood could have -40% chance of starting a fire or something, but still add a similar amount of power t
  5. There are more than just the sticks and branches... there are also various size limbs [which is where you can now get your fir and cedar]. For tinder, simply harvest down the sticks. We can harvest sticks? I was starting to worry tinder would be a finite resource and started harvesting boxes for it! Thanks for that info!

  7. I found that the fatigue caused by sprinting seemed a little intense. The time needed to regen fatigue should be enough of a deterrent without having to deal with 1 full sprint resulting in 1/3 of fatigue gain. Lowering it to 1/5 or something would make more sense IMHO. Alternatively, is there a plan to put this into some form of leveling system? I feel like this could allow us to "train" our sprinting capability in order to reduce some downtime AND/OR reduce fatigue gain. As for wood, I saw small branches (sticks) spawning, but no fir or cedar "drop". I also find the bigger branches that you
  8. If it wouldn't be across the "country", I'd apply for that programmer job. Ho well. Gl finding that talent guyz! EDIT : While wanting to check what technology is used (I'm guessing C/C++), I found that your link in the OP is partly broken.
  9. Looks exactly the same as my bug location (beside the geographical region, but I doubt it matters anyway)
  10. Is this happening playing the v.236 Hotfix, or is it in a previous version? Hotfix v.236 installed according to steam, indeed.
  11. I just found a disapearing container. I was in one of the "fishing cabins" in the mountain in costal highway (where there's 3 of them and 1 burned). On a stool there was a first aid box. I went out for 12h or so to harvest a bear I just killed, leaving food (mainly dog food, some coocked wolf, a granola bar and 2-3 soda's) in it. When I came back fully loaded, the box had disapearing with my stuff. (1.6, -148.3, 1.7). If you need anymore info, let me know.
  12. Good to hear about the off map critters, thanks for that clarification! Well as you know, ammo are rare and precious, so the typical "throw deer at wolf + shoot wolf" technique is preferable IMHO, to pure hunting. Plus snaring without killing stuff is not necessarily easy. Finding carcasses is all part of the luck. Allowing some wolf, while note having tons of them early, can help finding more dead deer (and so more guts). Well it's just an idea, but I really feel like having less wolf instead of none at all would work better.
  13. Hey guyz, I seem to remember that it is part of the recent changes to have no wild life (or is it only wolf?) to spawn prior to the first 12 or 24h. I find it harder to play now in mystery lake partly because of this. While prior to that new update there where too many wolfs, it can be kind of hard to find food until the wolfs start spawning. On a similar note, wolfs and other critters seem to be able to go where we can't (like you push a deer to a wolf and they both run off map). I get that this is a game in development and all, I'm just curious about the orientation of the balance for futur
  14. Arguably, only the asses of the bear taste good. Though in real life survival situation, I wouldn't be so picky...
