  1. kinda tough if you don't find the holy magnifying glass of eternal fire +1.
  2. Its a gameplay mechanic, not a simulation of real life . If it makes you feel better you could think of it as risk involved with handling the infected raw meat + lack of hygiene options.
  3. I like the worms mechanic in all aspects except one, i'm pretty sure you don't treat worms with antibiotics. There should be a separate anti parasite medication, and possibly herbal treatment.
  4. Yeah I can agree with that. At the moment we have crafting, repairs, research, and cooking to keep us busy inside but it definitely wouldn't hurt to add more options to for e.g. boost morale.
  5. What i'm trying to say is, TLD isn't a survival simulator, Hinterland are clearly not trying to make it a survival simulator, if we get mod capability that's one of the things I expect to see, but for for right now, TLD is very much gameplay over simulation. Also realism doesn't mean "real time" almost every simulator I've played has timewarp, precisely because real life is tedious more often than not. My main point remains, if the game is allowing you to get into a situation where there is nothing you need to do except eat and sleep for in-game weeks at a time, then that's not particularly compelling gameplay and it needs to be fixed. Simply adding solitaire or some such is a sticking plaster where we need surgery.
  6. OK fair enough, except realism clearly is not a goal. There are hundreds of design choices in this build that are clearly balanced for game reasons rather than realism.
  7. Seriously, you guys are talking about adding another game inside this game because this game isn't engaging enough... and none of you see the problem with that? if a game isn't sufficiently engaging the player that is the definition of bad game design.
  8. For me its the solitude, and the challenge of surviving by my wits. Also love the beautiful terrain and atmosphere.
  9. I'm sure you're right, but this isn't a hike in the wilderness, its a survival game. Good survival games keep you on your toes, its a constant struggle to stay alive. otherwise what is the gameplay exactly?
  10. I'd rather have survival be made more challenging, you should never, ever have downtime to waste in a survival game. if you do then the balance is off.
