  1. All the benefits of a state capital, with all the benefits of a town in the middle of nowhere. I love it!
  2. Kangas will wreck you up, if they want to, and if the effects of the event cause them to become mega-agressive like the wolves in TLD, they'll break your spine with one kick. Plus there's the snakes, creepy crawlies, and various other flora and fauna which'll just give you a crap time overall. That's not to say it wouldn't be fun! I could imagine stalker mode with hundreds of kangas jumping all over the place, in a murder-crazy marsupial fest XD Non-existent, I did a double-take the other day when I saw three cars at once on the main road! It's so tiny I don't even really need a car is the thing, which I'd say has saved me quite a bit of money!
  3. 5.56% From Aussie-land? I didn't know I was part of such an exclusive club! I'm down with the five other people that live in Tasmania, right at the bottom of Australia, where the state capital (Hobart) has one block of city, and everything else is suburb. It is the quietest, nicest little place I've ever lived, as as someone who dosen't interact well with other people, it's paradise. I can walk out of my house, take a right, go straight for about 20m, and be on the side of Mount Wellington, right in the heart of nature. I've climbed it once or twice (and even saw a kangaroo on the summit, the second time!) I'll have to dig out my photo collection from the great archives of my laptop in order to share a view from the summit. After 20 minutes of digging, I have my photographs; Here's a shot of Hobart from the top (all of that is suburb) Here's a picture of the summit. The Mountain gets far more foresty lower down, but I personally like the shrubbish nature of the summit. Both of these photos were taken in the summer, but in the winter it often snows over, and looks really nice. Could even make a pretty good map in TLD
  4. I've been thinking about this. The Long Dark has come so far from when I first joined this trip, and many a time I have asked myself... Will this game become one of the greats? Everything about it is just so set to be incredible, I think Hinterland can pull off something truly amazing here, rivaling AAA titles and showing people that indie games can be incredible too. Everything about it is actually really inspiring, and I love them for it. I'd also like to say... Have you ever played a AAA survival game? Can anyone here remember a time when they played a game that was AAA from launch and based in the survival genre? This game could send Hinterland right to the top, and if this is the game to do it, it could bring a new light, and something different to the awful market of fps garbage that AAA companies seem to be shoveling out at an alarming rate. Not only are Hinterland building a better game, they're building a better market. For gamers. Or maybe I'm looking way too deep into this.
  5. I logged on today with a "Is story mode released yet?" Attitude. I log off today hopping all around my room with excitement, and my partner asking we what is going on. Thank you so much for sharing this, I'm bubbling over with excitement. I just can't wait. Keep up the great work. I love your game.
