Interesting video. I would like to point out though that the bear is CGI and the viking would have enough damage to his arm from the first strike to probably render it useless for the rest of his life if the bleeding didn't kill him outright.

Bears are scary. Avoid or engage at range.

If that video would be realistic, that bear would most likely break half the bones in that "viking" body half-way thru the video. And that first claw attack would probably gutted him.

Basically theres enough of a bear to kill that guy 10 times over.

Obviously a Viking Berserker! He literally charges the bear with little more than a hand axe and a knife. Well, what one man can do, another can do.

Without too much of a spoiler, he's the eldest son of the King who in this series travels North into the frozen wilds to survive the harsh coming winter as a test of his manhood.  His story, so far at least, reminded me of TLD.  He's not a berserker but there is one in there somewhere

That should not go without a penalty. Disregarding the severity of injury is never something one should do in survival. There are enough inherent risks in tactics like stone dead falls and traveling through rough terrain.

If you really want to go mano a mano with the bear, we need cordage so we can haft rocks onto sticks or clubs or, better yet, nicely fluted spear tips. You can't fight fair with the bear!

Lol a bear ripped my brand new crafted deerskin pants to shreds, literally no pants left in my first sandbox.  Tried shooting, went through being mauled and had a big FU bear chip on my shoulder and tried shooting it a second time for more of the same. Was very very surprised I didn't die altogether!
