Holster Key

Would it be possible for the Holster key (default H) to be a toggle that hide and bring back the last used item, so we dont have to crawl again to get the one we often use? (as long as we still have it in the inventory of course)

Thanks for your question. Is there one gear item that you find yourself not being able to get back to as quickly as you want through the current system? Obviously the more of each gear class you start to carry, the more complex it can get.

For me it's the lantern. I've lit more than one flare by accident. I really, really miss the ability to light a match by pushing "M". I think it was very silly to remove that quick key and rebind it to the light sources key (1).

Just press 2 until u see the lantern icon in the top left. I have never lit a flare by accident

I guess the hotkeys like that were removed for porting to Xbox and or PC/Mac with game controller, makes sense really.

Late to the party so never had it to miss, feel your pain though, you get into a routine, muscle memory or whatever and it throws you off balance when it changes.

If you have a ton of matches (normally) and just need enough light to make it up the stairs in the dam or find something at night you didn't need to fumble through the lighting options: just one quick key press.

Working on some UI stuff that will hopefully bring back some of that early convenience.

Hi,
I don't have any preference, this is very situational. 
Of course, the first item in each category is the most convenient to get.
