Steam Controller Causes Crash on Startup

Hi all,

I've been playing this game for a long time, but after a brief stint away, I noticed it would crash consistently on startup. I looked around and couldn't find any answers, but after a little troubleshooting, it seems to be related to the Steam controller. When I fire up TLD while the controller is connected, the game crashes. However, if I disconnect the controller, start up the game, and then reconnect the Steam controller, the game runs just fine.

It's a small hurdle to jump, but definitely one worth pointing out. Below is the error log up to the stack trace. Please let me know what other information I can provide to help (e.g. info from output_log.txt).

This is a known issue on Steam's side (we're not the only people suffering from it right now.) We've found that this impacts those on the Steam Beta client. The available workarounds are to either run the game without the controller, in big picture mode, or to use the standard Steam client (instead of the beta client.)
