Wasteland Watcher
I don't get how sprains work. They happen VERY frequently. And if I'm exploring on any incline or decline it is VERY common to have at least three sprains in the same day (and I *never* run on any mountain or hill). Then I go rest at night, go back out the next day, repeat! Two to three sprains a day... constantly. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense. What are the determining factors for "acquiring" a sprain? Is there a hidden "luck" stat? The most annoying sprains occur while walking over nearly flat ground (10 degree angle) near the camp office and then "snap!" spained wrist. Huh??Condition was 'winded' but I was not over-encumbered. What gives?
GoldenH
I've noticed that the game on my computer often lags significantly - a second or more- right before i get a sprain message. I think there are some glitches in the terrain that makes the physics engine get really upset. Aside from that, I find that avoiding sudden changes in angle is a good bet. I know where you're feeling tho. The first time I climbed up to the forest overlook in Mystery Lake I had every possible sprain by the time I reached the top, and I was sticking to the path too! But now I have learned to take the most gently sloping path I can get to the top without a single one without actually remembering where the danger zones are. AverageGatsby
This! I can only agree that sprains do kinda ennoy. I haven't noticed that many sprains and i am running a lot/ sidewalking down 80% steep mountains sometimes (which actually doesn't seem to contribute much to getting a sprain or not). Most of the times i do get a sprain it is in situation in which i didn't expect it. One thing i thought about while playing in order to change the way sprains work would be a quicktime event  (not sure whether that's something implementable. Let it be hard! if there is a double sprain it should be close to impossible to avoid both! Also condition and weight could affect how easy sprain-quicktime events are.cheers
