LinieBurrito456 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I think the current system of getting achievements are a little bit unfair. You can get all achievements on which mode do you want.so my Idea:Pilgrim = Bronze Voyager = SilverStalker = GoldWhat do you mean?
druffzilla Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Unfair might be the wrong word, and having three kinds of each achievement might be a bit much... But having some extra achievements for completing stuff in the harder difficulties would be a nice challenge.
piddy3825 Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 I think the current system of getting achievements are a little bit unfair. You can get all achievements on which mode do you want.so my Idea:Pilgrim = Bronze Voyager = SilverStalker = GoldWhat do you mean?+1 Having them categorized by difficulty.I can see where you are coming from. I always like to obtain as many achievements that a game has to offer, because then I feel like I am getting my moneys worth out of a game. IMO, its always better to get more gold awards than bronze. Take for example an Achievement like the Pacifist, where you can't kill anything for the first 25 days, yeah, I would say that there is a big difference in game play between getting an achievement in Pilgrim mode as compared to Stalker mode. Not ever having to worry about animal attacks in Pilgrim mode makes that particular achievement so much easier to obtain. On the other hand, trying to survive the first 25 days in Stalker mode is really actually hard work, I find it impossible not to kill a wolf in the first 5 days, let alone 25. At least I haven't been able to do it. +1 to Druffzilla's idea for additional challengesI would encourage the developers to add some crafting achievements, looting/hoarding achievements, repair achievements, animal kills, etc. Few examples for consideration:Crafting - Tailor Made - 5 boots, 5 pants, 5 coats - Archer - 5 bows - Fletcher - 50 ArrowsLooting - Snoop - 100 cabinets searchedHoarding - Pack Rat - 10 items of every piece of clothing - Collector - 5 of every hardware item - Taxidermist - 25 skins/pelts all animals, 5 bears Repair - Handyman - Repair each item to 100% in hardware category- Master Mechanic - has 2 or more Red Tool kits, repairs all items to 100% in hardware category Animal Kills - Fisherman - 25 Kilos of fish caught - Trapper - 25 rabbits snared - Deerstalker - 25 deer killed - Huntsman - 25 wolves killed - Slayer - 25 bears killed Without getting caught up in the programming dynamics and development difficulties of such a task, I would think that additional achievements may keep players interested longer.
elloco999 Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 I've always found it a bit curious that you can get the same achievement on pilgrim as on stalker. Someone playing pilgrim gets the same 'reward' (achievement badge) as someone playing stalker but the person playing stalker has to put much more effort into it.You could of course argue that anyone is free to start a pilgrim game and get all the achievements, but still I'd like to see some distinction made between achievements gotten on different difficulty modes. Bronze, silver and gold badges would work or achievements for specific modes would do the trick as well.
Scyzara Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 As long as a gold badge automatically gives you the silber and bronze badges as well, I'm all for this suggestion. But even though I'm a pretty big fan of achievements I wouldn't find it very appealing if I had to do every achievement three times in order to get them all.^^
