Dart737 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Gameplay Suggestions:Hail- Weather that would slowly deteriorate clothing and then condition, flakes would look larger and fall faster than snow, visibility would be higher than with a blizzard, but still limited. Animal Footprints- The snare has been a somewhat underdeveloped gameplay system, If animal tracks were introduced and patterns were to be added to where animals travel somewhat together and via the same paths, this would add something great to both hunting and trapping.Proper Food Cooking- This may seem more tedious than anything, but adding a small minigame to decide if the player will properly cook their food or cook it too long and burn it as well as waste precious time that the fire is alive. The cooking time seems to be just waiting until its done, this could add a little something to it, or it could be just a too tedious aspect, but its an idea.Proper Fishing- You can now watch your condition as time passes and have more of a chance of catching fish more often to feed yourself, if you have the skill and timing, or else it can become a way of losing more calories than gaining. Whereas now where you watch your condition flutter away in the cold, you get barely any fish from it, and thats if your line doesn't break, which it does very often.Hunting Improvements- More animals such as squirrels, Elk, ect. Better aiming, sometimes shots pointed right at animals seem to just slip right past them for whatever reason. Better trapping, A trapper is nothing without tracks. As well as new traps, enough to potentially hold wolves, conibear traps, Foot hold traps, ect.Map Ideas:Tundra Biome- Right between forests and the wintery wastelands we all know is their snowy yet dry cousin. These will not only hold different animals and more plantlife, but will rain in some areas and snow in others, tips of high hills will be snowy.Forests- While a direct change of our well known winter, it could be a welcome change to hear the patter of rain over the mass overpouring of snow outside, more maple trees than pine trees, and running water will be larger changes. As well, it'll be easier for new comers to be in more comfortable territory and easier to live off land.
