Greenfoot_away Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Any tips for bow hunting on the console? I can't seem to hit anything, and am getting tired of having to use the gun. I have plenty of shaft materials but arrowheads are sparse on ML. I tried practicing on a stump, but I'm damaging my arrows. Any suggestions???
CubertFarnsworth Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Practice on a stump. Go through all your arrows. Quit the game, then reload. You will have your arrows back to practice again. Just don't walk into a building or take an injury while practicing or it will save your game at that event.
Greenfoot_away Posted October 2, 2015 Author Posted October 2, 2015 dude , its those little tips that give you a boost. Your advice was much appreciated, just killed my first deer with a lung shot, and followed the blood!
LinieBurrito456 Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I have a question about hunting on X-Box too.I saw on a video on PC there is always a small point in the middle of the screen. Is this right and the point is always shown? On X-Box there is only a point, when I move over items. So I`m confused now, because this point would it make easier for me to know where my dart will be going to.
Thelek Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 The point you talk about was removed from XB1 with the deep woods update (the one before DP). i believe it was also removed from pc at the same time. I belive that most videos are 6 months or more old.

druffzilla Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 yes when aiming with bow the point disappears on PC too, what i do is i sneak up to the animal wait for it to stop, aim while the point is still there, then draw the bow and maybe adjust a little bit to the arrow drop from there.

druffzilla Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 yeah it is a bit sketchy, but on pc u cant shoot bows from the crouched position either, not sure if thats actually intentional and realistic, but if you dont move after u stood up the deer or wolf will not notice you for a few seconds and aiming with the dot can be done beforehand.

I lured a bear near a car, stood on the other side of the car as the bear walked up. As the bear got near the white dot appeared, I placed the dot right on his face, pulled and shot, and then immediately jumped in the car as the bear charged. I waited for him to start walking away. Got out of the car, got the bears attention and waited for him to get close again. White dot on his face, pulled and fired. Dead Bear with two arrows.
LinieBurrito456 Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Yesterday I try and try ... the result: I shot two wolves!!!One was one shot and the other I was following the blood trail.I just wondering where my arrows some times going to, I found some on the next day in an other direction.
