#2762 - v.270/v.271 Vanishing Arrows

After the last big update, I started a fresh new game on the Mystery Lake map. I explored the whole region and found 4 arrows (1st broken one in the hunting blind next to Alan's Cave, 2nd and 3rd broken ones in the Carter Dam, and 4th one by a deer carcass at Hidden Pond). I did not leave the Mystery Lake map during the entire length of the game.

The bug seemed to occur when I would leave my arrows lying on the ground (either by dropping them or leaving them in a dead animal). If I reloaded the game while they were still out of my inventory and not stored away, those arrows had a tendency to disappear. If you need a more detailed explanation, here's how it all happened:

My first arrow disappeared when I shot a wolf in the middle of Mystery Lake; I shot him in the left shoulder, so when he fell over, his corpse covered the arrow. So, unable to retrieve my arrow, I harvested his corpse and headed back to the Camp Office to wait for his dead body to rot away and expose the arrow.

A day or so later, I tried to make my way over to where I had shot that wolf, but it was at the exact intersection of several wolf patrol routes, so I had to reload the game several times and make several more attempts to reach that spot when the wolves weren't patrolling near there. When I finally managed to do so, there was no arrow to be found.

As for my other two arrows that disappeared, I was on a bear hunt at Hidden Pond. I had set up my base camp at the Cabin just north of the Hidden Pond and was unloading my gear. Since there weren't any storage containers there, I had to dump everything on the floor, including my bow and arrows (I decided to use my rifle instead). Once I had everything all set, I headed back to Hidden Pond, climbed into the hunting blind, and set my sights on a nearby bear that was passing through. I wanted to take him down with only 1 bullet, but he did not keel over with my first and second shots, I decided to reload the game. After missing and reloading several more times, I finally managed to kill him with a single bullet between the eyes.

Satisfied, I proceed to harvest his corpse. After several hours of harvesting, fighting two wolves, suffering from burns, hypothermia, and exhaustion, I managed to haul myself back to the Cabin and rest my broken, beaten body. After a day or so of resting and cooking bear meat, I was well enough to make the hike back to the Camp Office. So, I went about the cabin collecting my gear.

However, I was very surprised to find that I could only find one arrow left on the floor with my bow. I searched everywhere I could look; under the beds, under the bear hide and guts, outside and around the back of the cabin. Nothing. Somehow, those two arrows had vanished in to thin air.

Just need to know which version you're playing so that I can file a report - are you on the original update of v.265, or is this still happening in v.271 for you?

I believe this all happened right after you guys added random spawn arrows to the maps, so I'd say I was playing on v.270. I haven't started a new game after the v.271 hotfix update, so I don't know if this bug has been resolved or not.

Anyways, hope this glitch doesn't happen again.

arrows disappearing together with the corpse is still an issue, just happened to me, im playing on the latest version v.271.
