Seriously, who the hell thought it was a good idea to make non-medical items spawn in medicine/first aid cabinets?! It's driving me insane to be on the brink of death, getting to a first aid cabinet and finding nothing but food in it. Seriously, this happens on EVERY difficulty, not just Stalker. Please, make First Aid/Medicine cabinets only spawn medical items.

Yeah, my main gripe is with finding food in the medical cabinets. To me, it basically feels like the game is just sticking a big middle finger in my face, like "Oh you're about to die? Well @#&! you! Here's a candy bar and a can of soda instead of that bandage you need! >:D"

Don't forget you can harvest clothing items (or tear down some curtains) for cloth, and then harvest that cloth for a bandage! One piece of harvested cloth = two bandages.

I could have sworn it was possible to craft bandages! For some reason though, I wasn't able to craft one. I guess I didn't have the scrap of cloth I thought I did!

As fas as I can remember the only food I've ever found in a medicine cabinet was an energy bar and this always made sense to me, it has alot of cals for little weight and might be considered medicine if the illness you're suffering from is starvation.

Much less usefull is finding water proofing tablets in the cabinet which usually is in the bathroom where you can take potable water right from the toilet. If it's empty you need to make a fire and melt water anyway, might aswell boil it, so I really don't get why those are even in game. I'll take an energy bar over water proofing tablets every time (in game, not in real life :D).

At Target, the energy bars and energy drinks are in the "dietary supplements" aisle with vitamins and such. Not anywhere near the food or drinks area.

Low blood sugar is a medical emergency, now if that blood is flowing onto the floor...

If you consider a first aid kit a little more of a "emergency kit in a small box", candy bars/energy bars make sense. We have a first aid bag in our house with a small collection of "survival"-type emergency supplies and ours has some dark chocolate snack bars.

I find it annoying that the "medicated" bandages (the ones you make at the workbench with a bandage and moss) don't count as a basic bandage. There's one injury you can get where you can't apply them.
