General Wishlist: Guns, Food and More!

Just a general wishlist for the alpha/early sandbox beta:

1) Another weapon:

Another weapon would be really nice for late gameplay, when all the rifle bullets have been used up, I believe another gun like a pump action shotgun or 357. magnum would both be really useful and would fit pretty seamless into the game world, I understand there is the survival bow but in my personal opinion I find it rather difficult to control compared to the hunting rifle with its ADS, also arrows (as of the desolation point update) are far harder to get as you may have to travel from pleasant valley to coastal highway then to desolation point if you choose a random region in the main menu, my point is another gun would be REALLY useful in the long term.

2) A thermus/flask:

This is something that would be VERY useful, pretty self explanatory, after heating a hot drink you would be able to use the flask and a menu would pop up similar to the fishing hole menu only instead of "tools to break ice" it would be "fill thermus" and you would be able to choose between your soup, tea, coffee and the mushroom tea. very useful idea, should be implemented soon!!

3) More hunting options:

Just things like box traps for rabbits, binoculars for stalking deer and wolves (also useful for general exploration) and a Swiss army knife; a rare tool allowing a knife, can opener and screwdriver in one tool (basically you can use this for crafting of snares and smaller crafting items, but for bigger things like clothing and bows a tool kit will be required) also some more things for fishing like a makeshift fishing rod (made with cured birch sapling, line, and hook taking 2 hours and basically cuts down on time for fishing) also fishing lures, these will also cut down on time (you can choose which lure you use in the makeshift rods "actions" menu similar to the lanterns refuel function you can choose the lures you use and they have different effects like a blue lure will attract coho salmon more often, whilst a green lure attracts lake whitefish more often)

4) More food options:

just a small one, more food options or even multiple textures for different items, for example different looking cans of the grape soda, with a different logo or maybe a slightly lighter colour of purple, this is just to give the items more of a varied feel.

5) Camping stove and a tent:

a small stove that runs on kerosene and can be placed like a bedroll from within the survival panel it's basically a portable camp fire.... whys this normal to a normal fire I hear you ask? you can use it indoors! this would be a really useful thing if you wanted to move into a house that didn't have a fire-place or fire barrel nearby and also is useful for general exploration in the early game as you won't have to carry wood with you everywhere, but there is a downside which still keeps outdoor fires relevant; it doesn't heat you up unless wind-sheltered or indoors. The final thing I'll talk about, a tent. Very simple, you can place it like a bedroll and you will be able to enter it you will be able to place things in it and it looses durability depending on the weather outside, if it's a blizzard, it will loose 15% condition (or whatever makes it balanced) depending on the time you are inside it during the blizzard. It will allow you to heat up, use your camping stove in peace, and sleep when exploring the wilderness.

thanks for reading, until the next time!!!

Yeah, i totally agree with most of those suggestions, i think the tent and stove idea great for different playstyles, and keep it interesting even in later stages of the game.

As for hunting would really like to see more wildlife, and different hunting tools/tactics, one thing i personally think would be good is some kind of defensive snare/trap that you could set up. At narrow parts of map , outside the path to trappers cabin or the bridges outside the lighthouse in DP to stop you getting jumped right out side your home .but would be best used when exploring awy from home/ taking shelter in a cave etc.

The only problem is that these are all heavy gear and right now once you have crafted clothes ,rifle, bow etc you cabt carry alot, so think they going to have to make some tweaks to weight soon.

Good place to start i think would be to make clothing lighter or atleast half weight ,say for clothes that you are wearing. As i would say its clearly easier to wear clothes than carry them.
