#2763 - Wolf runs off, goes invisible after attack

A wolf was eating a rabbit and started running towards me as I approached. I shot it with bow and arrow, hit it (saw blood splash), but didn't manage a headshot so it attacked me. I fought it off and it ran behind a fallen tree. I followed it there with my rifle drawn but I could not see it, just hear the growling. Closed session and loaded the game from after the nap and it was disappeared along with my arrow. Hopefully this helps! I haven't experienced this bug before. Just kinda sucks since it was my only arrow :lol: oh well, need to go forge some more.

seems the wolf or even a second wolf maybe in different direction than you think it is in. the grawling of a wolf tells you it is close so stay away.

Well if you have headphones you can clearly hear in the video that the growling comes from the spot i'm circling. I spent a great while around that area, there definitely were no other wolves, nor was it glitched inside the tree or hiding somewhere. 100% positive

The devs need more details of at least the location and which map it happened on [F8 takes a screenshot with individual map coordinates]. I did manage to track down the location this time, and supplied the team with the screenshot and coordinates. (The video did help me track down the location)

I have had something like that happen to me with bears on PV. Shot 4 arrows into a bear, he runs around like crazy then takes off to far side of map like a rocket . I followed him to the river. He ran into the rocks near the cave and disappeared with my arrows. Searched that whole side of the map and never found the bear or my arrows. next day I went looking again and a new bear came out of the cave (no arrows sticking out of him). Lured him to farmhouse and did same thing. Shot arrows into him, he runs like crazy to far side of map towards cave area. Followed him and gone again with my arrows.....
