Foraging poisonous plants.

Are there any poisonous plants or fungi in the game? I have yet to find any if there are. By a huge percentage there are far more poisonous fungi in the woods that edible ones.

And how do you KNOW you are foraging Reishi mushrooms? Hmm?

Polypores are not poisonous, so mistaking some other for Reishi wouldn't be dangerous. Inedible polypores are just so woody in structure that they're of no use (except for fire-making). And you cannot mistake some other mushroom for a polypore, because of the different location and shape and because there are no other mushrooms in winter.

The game doesn't have poisonous plants or fungi. Actually, there aren't that many to be found in winter IRL. Juniper berries are not good for you in large quantities, but that's about all, I think. Of course Canada may have some things we don't.

It'll be much more fun in this respect in summer and autumn, if those seasons will be made for the game later.

This is why you absolutely do not eat fungi/mushrooms unless you are 100,000% sure what it is. Hell, that goes for any plant, it is just that mushrooms are the big ones.

The deadliest thing you can find in the Finnish forests is probably European destroying angel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanita_virosa). It has fooled even some experienced mushroom enthusiasts as it can be mistaken for another, edible (and apparently very good) species.

I eat a very select few mushrooms that are unmistakable (morels, shaggy manes, hedgehogs). None of which are available in winter.

Maybe they're not so nutritional, but they sure are tasty :)

More to the topic.. I can't think of many poisonous plants that you'd run into in winter..
