Weapons handling and Optics

"Oh Christ not another weapons thread."

Yes but also not like many of the others.

I have two proposals.

1) Magnifying optics. I don't mean rifle sights, I mean a pair of binoculars would be superb on clear days. They're pretty common stuff amongst backpackers here, usually for birdwatching. A lightweight 4x magnification set would be entirely satisfactory.

2) More difficult weapons handling. I recently played a game called Receiver. This removes automation from weapons control, so that you hit a sequence of keys to unsafe, chamber a round, cock the hammer or striker, so on. I would be content to see changes to nothing but the complexity of handling it. The necessary controls could be toggled by making the rifle active and deactivated by slinging the rifle. By making the rifle more complex you may also be able to accommodate desires for a more accurate-at-range rifle.

In terms of modelling, I'd like to see a magazine included on the rifle model. At the moment there isn't one but it's otherwise a SMLE Mk.III*, it would also be satisfactory to run the rifle as a single-shot weapon in this configuration. Nice touch by adding charger loading by the way, took me a little while to notice that and it made me unreasonably happy to see it. There was a suggestion here also for the .303 primers not to be struck on the model.
