Warg Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Hi, A few issues I've encountered with v265.Evenings, there is a sort of glow on objects, probably post-processing, that don't quite "click" with the minimalistic (cartoonish) style of the game: it sort of outlines the objects in a thin blurry reddish line that diminishes detail below a reasonable range. Even close things are blurry. Don't get me wrong, the style is very ok, just that post-processing needs some work. Unless foggy, (and it's clear weather) things should look crisp (as they look mornings). I understand the red/orange comes from the sunset but it needs work, I'd say.See trees image below.Anyhow, I've an example of that strange glow right on the logo of this forum: look closely at the wolf. It's back is lined in green and it's belly and head in magenta. Even the snow right below the mouth is lined in magenta. It's like seeing 3D without glasses. I keep trying to focus correctly. Aggravating! If one remaps the LMB and RMB for other actions, when breaking a branch, adding to inventory and so on still requires LMB and that activates also the action assigned on LMB (sidestep in my case). Perhaps you could tweak that and also make the game display the correct assigned buttons (instead of LMB and RMB).The status icons (hunger, thirst and so on) could be a little bigger as they are too small and in only white they are unintuitive. Oh, and I managed to burn to death in 3 seconds in a blizzard! Started a fire in a somewhat protected place and 3 seconds after that I was dead ( a small icon blinked two or three times, I was innitially health 80% with some sprains). I'd say it's a broken mechanic: a twig fire can't kill you as fast, even a blazing fire can't and, instinctively, you would jump back just a bit singed.Well, that's it so far. Don't send me a rabid wolf
Spottdrossel Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 There is no way in the post editor to include images from HDD to exemplify or paste from clipboard. Would have used that for previous issue. You can add your saved screenshots as attachments.
Spottdrossel Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 That's an effect called "Chromatic Aberration" that can happen in RL with lenses other optical components. It is indeed an image effect in Unity also called Chromatic Aberration which is used in the "High" and "Ultra" graphics setting of TLD.I'm not too happy about it myself and find it misplaced since we're supposedly seeing the world through the eyes of the character and humans usually don't see that way.
Guest Support Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 For future reference, please post one bug issue per thread or they can be hard to track, and may be missed. Fixed bug may mean entire post being closed.Evenings, there is a sort of glow on objects, probably post-processing, that don't quite "click" with the minimalistic (cartoonish) style of the game: it sort of outlines the objects in a thin blurry reddish line that diminishes detail below a reasonable range.
