New Crash with Recent Update

Hello, Im new to the Site. I joined because of a recent issue with the Newest update. I have a character who has survived 58 days and resides in Pleasant Valley. I left the house to go gather food and upon returning to the farm house, I am loaded into a Black Screen but oddly enough I can here my guy talk every few mintues. Theres also the hiss of my storm lantern. But again its just a black screen, no way around it. I am very bummed as this is the first bug Ive encountered and ofcoarse its RIGHT after a update. Lol. Any advice. I was packing up supplies to go scout the new area. I don't was to make another game.

I wont put this anywere else besides 1 other thread i did before this so i dont clutter the threads. But i have had multiple black screens in few different areas. most of which are in the new map. At the Processing plant, the light house and the trailer in the new map and It seems like other people are having it in old areas too. I love this game and i love the devs who make it but i cant really progress in the game anymore this happens within a few hours of play every time for me. Im going to take a break till this is fixed I really hope this is fixed soon. And im sorry no advice it seems this can happen anywhere at the moment i could be wrong.

I am having the same issue except mine is located in Coastal Highway.

Hi there I am new to this place and I joined because I have an issue that keeps happening upon entering the house at the Coastal Townside that has the fireplace.

However, my character keeps saying "I can't carry this, my load is too heavy"

It happened at another place in Coastal Highway in the Coastal Townside, but it happened when I carried a lit flare. So I stopped entering buildings with a lit flare, and now it is basically whatever and wherever in Coastal Highway. I haven't checked the Ravine or Mystery Lake yet, and I haven't been to Pleasant Valley, but my screen keeps going black, I can hear my character talking and animals howling in the background, but the screen is completely black. I have restarted my game multiple times, rebooted my xbox, the only other thing I haven't tried was deleteing my saved file on xbox and restarting it over again, but I really don't want to do that. I had a character at 48 days 13 hours and 56 mins and I lost her because I had to restart. When I tried restarting and reloading the game, it went back to the same black screen and my character saying the same thing.

All this didn't start with me till after recent update, can someone please help?

The exact problems I'm dealing with. Hopefully the next update will fix this issue. I had entered my Farm House with the Lantern Lit and you can hear it hissing. I even went as far as shutting my controller of and forcing the paused screen to pull up when I turned my controller back on. When I manage to get to the Quit Icon, upon pushing the houses interior would load very fast before bringing me back to the Main Menu. Very annoying but nothing to be done about it atm.

Had the same problem with XB1 on Coastal highway going into a house. Could hear my character talk, but game controls were completely locked up. Could use the controller to turn off the XB1, but no joy with the game. Ended up losing the game.

I have friends who play this on pc it has been fixed there but xbox1 still has the blackscreen issues. I think they are still working on it for xbox1 though. I just cant wait to really dive into this new map and have fun but looks like it will be a while yet. I still love this game
