Correct number of tea cups?

I possess 4 cups of tea. 3 cups of reishi and one cup of rose hip tea, see prepare food menu. When you look at the status menu there are 4 and 1 cup of tea. What is correct?

I think I found the reason for confusion: I heated up one cup so it won't appear in the prepare food menu any longer unless it becomes cold.

Yup, that's correct. the 3 that are in the prepare food menu are cold and need to be reheated if you want the warmth bonus. Still works as medicine cold or hot.
