Eames
Ability to rest for up to an hour. Sometimes you don't have an hour-long campfires yet you still want to warm up. In the past, you could "go" gather wood for small increments of time while actually staying near the camp. Now it's not possible anymore. I know that technically one workaround is to do some recycling – tinder, cloth etc. But still – it's a workaround.
saxel
The ability to have your character just wait and do nothing is :Realism +0 (no change to realism)Playability +1 (makes the game more playable)The situation I am thinking of is I am in a cave waiting out a blizzard. I don't have any wood for a fire, and left my bedroll at my base. My only option is to just leave the game running while I go make a cup of coffee (in Real Life).Another solution would be to allow the character to just sleep on the floor without a bedroll. I admit it would be uncomfortable, perhaps you should regain fatigue slower (or not at all). But it should be possible.
danicusrex
an "amuse yourself to pass time" button, if you will.waiting without sleeping by... reading a book/ working on a rubik's cube/ even drawing on the cave walls would be a neat addition.
