Small Stones - multiple uses

I'd love to see small stones added as an item found in the wilderness, with a few different uses at least.

1) Add the ability to create a "Fire ring". An optional version of placing a fire, that would take between 6 and 12 stones (depending on the size you wanted to make them). One of the big uses for stone fire rings isn't to contain the fire, but to absorb the heat, and continue radiating it well after the fire has gone out. In this case the stones could be heated up to a certain point based on the temp of the fire they contained, and once the fire went out they could continue to put off a portion of that heat for a while - as they eventually cooled. Optionally it could provide a _small_ amount of wind protection for the fire - not enough to allow building the fire in high wind, but enough that if the wind shifted after the fire was going, the penalty to fuel time would be reduced a little bit (and even once the fire did burn out, the stones will still radiate a smaller amount of heat until they cooled off as well).

2) Something to throw to distract / scare / stun game. Wolf or bear approaching your hiding spot? Throw a stone at the nearby cliff face and try and get them to turn away from you. Sneaking up on a deer who turns away from the direction you want him to go? Throw a stone at a tree a ways in front of him and get him to run back towards you instead. Don't have any snares on hand, but need some rabbit fur to repair your mittens? Stun a rabbit with a stone and buy yourself some extra time to line up that bow shot (or even add a melee mechanic vs. stunned rabbits, when using hunting knife / hatchet)

3) As many other threads talk about, trail markers. Go into your inventory, select small stones, click on action, and select the action to "make trail marker" - which requires 5 stones and takes just 1 minute to "make". Then select the trail marker and click on "place" to get the same interface as placing a snare, but now with a small "arrow" made up of 5 stones that you can move around to point in one direction or another.

4) Again as has been suggested elsewhere, stone tools...

I'm sure the forum members here can think of plenty of other uses for small stones that hopefully shouldn't be too challenging to implement, yet would add more flavor and choice to the game...
