what if the character had a comment, random comment (like in skyrim) let's say 200 comments that would randomly occur every hour.. general comments .. like "oh, I remember a winter like this in 1994, my uncle got drunk and was mounted by a deer" ..

when you are out there for this long, you tend to start to talk to yourself a bit more ..
