good idea to hide the time going on while the weather doesn't let your character estimate it

but, in the same screen, we have a real time and exact idea of how many time we survived

which let us easily find how many hours this ??? means

would be great to be less exact in that time count, at least while evaluation is impossible (???)

The implication being Mackenzie uses the sun, moon and stars to tell how long a fire will burn for instead of looking at it?

Instinct and experience as you go... since we know approximately how long each type of wood burns (as well as how long some other tasks usually take), then as the fire starts to die down we can gauge how much time will pass according to more wood being added.

I don't follow, I think I'm terribly confused.

From what I understood, you said that during ??? times, for example, hovering over a fire would no longer say "1 hour 36 minutes" or whatever, correct?

+1 to the obscure times during ??? periods...

Might even suggest going as far as making task times hidden during ??? as well [e.g. fire burning, healing sleep time remaining, etc.]

I wouldn't. You cannot observe the fire's state in the game except by this number or during the final stages when the fire is embers. Might as well make the player blind. I don't think there's anything to gain by making the game more confusing.

The simulation of hiding the number of hours of daylight left when no sunlight is visible is sufficient. This is a strategy game, not an arcade game.
