Birds flying into ground

In my last playthrough, I noticed that the birds seem to be a bit confused, and flying instead of across the skyline, down at my level, (though perhaps because on most of the occasions, since I was on a hill, they started off above ground?) and then flying into the ground. I got a screenshot of the hill they flew into, where I was standing, but just missed catching them flying into it. It was the third time that playthrough I had seen it occur.

I just realized that apparently the key I pressed didn't give the details. I play on Voyager mode, and that was on the way up to Look Out in this screen shot. I also saw it happen while I was on the lake headed towards the Main Cabin, and out in the middle of no where between places was where it first happened.

Yeah pressing F8 is the key that gives the details Main cabin... do you mean the camp office? The trappers cabin? Were you close to any recognizable landmarks? I'll see if I can find this.

The camp office is one of the locations it happened at. This screenshot took place on the way up to lookout from the clear cut clearing.

I've started to see this bug again.  The birds fly out of or into a slope.  Multiple places, multiple maps.

This is not a bug. This is intended as the birds are simple objects without collision. Locking thread.
