Forgive me if this seems like a silly question, but do people who live in extreme climates put pictures of that climate on their walls?

I've always lived in a "moderate" climate, so every kind of climate that trends toward an "extreme" is "exotic", and thus my calendars and posters and dream vacations may have tropical islands or snow-capped mountains or sandy deserts or glaciers. But do people who live in, say, a northern climate where snow and evergreens and mountains are the norm, put pictures of snow and evergreens and mountains on their walls? Do Canadian teens have school dances with "winter wonderland" as the theme?

Sometimes when I see the art on the walls in-game, it seems a bit odd that people who live in forested mountains that see a lot of snow have pictures of forested mountains with lots of snow on their walls.
