IIllytch321 Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 This is the only game play affecting bug I've come across so far. I was playing like normal and hit either my Inventory or Menu key (I forgot). Suddenly the screen goes black. I can still hear everything as though nothing was wrong, footsteps, menu button sounds, everything. Even managed to blindly find a container to open. Alt+Tabbing doesn't snap it out of it. "ESC" and the menu keys causes the mouse cursor to appear as it normally does, although the cursor is the only thing visible on a black screen. Had to force quit and restart which fixed the issue. Not sure if it matters, but I have "Ins" and "Page Up" bound as my Menu and Inventory keys, respectively. Thanks again for your time.
Guest mcopeman Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Hey there! Could you post your debug log? On PC, the log is written to the data directory for the game. For Steam, this would look like: C:\TheDirectoryYouInstalledSteamTo\steamapps\common\TheLongDark\tld_Data\output_log.txtFor Mac, the debug log is written to: ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log Note that ~ above is your home folder (little house icon).Melody~
IIllytch321 Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 It's attached.Thanks, Melody.output_log.txt
Guest mcopeman Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 If you haven't tried this already, verify your game cache. You can do this by left click on the Long Dark, select Properties, click the tab "Local Files" and press "verify integrity of game Cache". Let me know if that works!Melody~
