VT Phantos Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Ok, first off I'm playing the Xbox One, in Pilgrim mode, and in Pleasant Valley, v258.1 - The first bug came in the Pleasant Valley Farm House. I had looted the house, and had started storing things in the closet on the first floor. I had put 3 bottles of lantern fuel and 1 jerrycan in the closet cabinet, when I left the house and came back several game hours later all 4 of those items were gone. All of the rest of the items that were in that cabinet were still there though.2 - Next I was up at the Three Strikes Farm and a blizzard started, so I setup camp inside the ruined micro barn. I had the following: Deer Skin boots, deer skin pants, rabbit skin mittens, wolf skin jacket, Canadian style cap, Heavy wool sweater, heavy wool long underwear, wool socks, and a basic scarf. I put out my bear skin bedroll and told him to sleep for 3 hours. My character woke up once saying something had woken him up. I looked everywhere and couldn't find anything around. He wasn't cold, hungry, injured, or sick. I told him to sleep for another 2 hours, when I was met with the screen saying "you lost at the long dark" No idea why though, it sucked since he'd been around for over 42 days and transversed all three maps.3 - This came as the new game following that loss. I had chosen to start in Pleasant Valley and it had spawned me inside the Out buildings barn. I had collected quite a lot of things and had left quite a few furs out to cure, along with guts, the cabinets were full, there were 2 piles of wood on the floor, the fridge and freezer were full. I had saved and quit several times and had no problems with loading, but after I quit and went to bed, I got up later that day to load my save and it loaded just fine, BUT the whole house had reset. Everything was gone, only my characters inventory was still in order. Everything on the floors and in the cabinets were gone. I looted the house and left to check the basement which had been reset as well. After I left the basement and came back to the house, the house had reset one more time. I took a few items and told my character to sleep for 2 hours in the upstairs queen bed. When he woke up, the house had reset again. From that point on that's all that happens.I leave the house, it resets. I sleep, it resets. That game has become unplayable.
Guest mcopeman Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I'll check out issues 1 and 3. I have some questions about your second problem. Did you have a fire going when you went to sleep? You will be woken up if your fire goes out. If you went to sleep after that it could have been enough to kill you (even with excellent gear the weather can become extremely cold).Melody~
VT Phantos Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 Actually no fire either way. That's why I can't figure out what woke him up.
VT Phantos Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 Also, all of his gear was 93% or higher. He had no cold in his cold meter, he was sheltered from the wind in that part of the green broken barn thing, right where you have to crouch down to get into that one part of it.
Guest mcopeman Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I inquired into this and it sounds like you get woken up if the air temperature goes bellow a certain point. After testing this out a bit I was able to freeze to death using the gear you mentioned above. If the wind changes direction, shelters wont always protect you. Having a fire going is a safer bet when dealing with harsh conditions. It sounds like you got super unlucky Melody~
VT Phantos Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 Ah, thank you for looking into that, it seemed strange to me since I had done this kind of thing before and survived.
