v258 - Freeze on startup (OSX)

It shows the main menu background, but not menu itself. "Beachball of doom" is spinning forever. 257 was fine. Local files are verified.

Strange. Could you attach your Player.log please.

Library\Logs\Unity

Library is hidden by default so if you go to the Finder, click Go up at the top and hold Alt, Library will appear in the drop down menu.

I think i know what may be the problem. Thought this got fixed a while ago but I guess not. You'll need to wait for the steam pop up to show before blasting through the video and disclaimer screen. usually waiting about 5 seconds should be good. Let me know if this helps at all.
