Clicking BOIL WATER button

Can the BOIL WATER button be fixed so that it can be clicked from anywhere on the button and not just that sweet spot you have to find on the RH side of it. Or is just annoying reluctant to be clicked.

Assuming you mean the arrow for selecting the amount of water to be melted, for now you can use the "a" and "d" keys to manipulate the amount.

Somewhat related, but for now I guess only those keys will work, even if you bound your movement to, say, the arrow keys. They're working to fix that one I hear.

While I was looking at that I also had a complaint: When selecting a food item to cook, the moment I go to click on an item to cook, it is greyed out and won't select all the time; it's very inconsistent, sometimes it selects and sometimes it doesn't unless you play around with the cursor a bit. It almost seems like the selection box isn't on the entire word, but rather half of the word or some parts of the word. I don't know how else to explain it.

My bad, I so rarely use the boil function (as I've only used water purification tablets thus far) I forgot all about its existence.

I guess it was serendipitous of me to complain of the secondary issue I mentioned in my first post, as it seems to be identical to what you're referring to. It seems any of those "scrollable lists" in the fire menu don't work very well, whether it's for boiling and melting or choosing which item to cook or throw in the fire for fuel. If they worked like how we choose between harvesting and repairing, that would be great.

Same here.

It's pretty frustrating when you've got 2.0 litres of water to boil and you're down to 21 minutes of burning time, frantically hitting 'BOIL' - 'BOIL' - 'BOIL'

19 minutes

goddammned

goto FUEL

throw another stick on the barbie

try again

And thats assuming one has a spare stick; if one doesn't, it could mean the difference between survival and death.

I've noticed the boil water button not being very responsive as well, but I just use the scroll wheel to switch from melting to boiling. Just scroll down. It's faster and can be done anywhere in the UI so no need to go to the button. If you're like me and you melt and boil a lot of water each time, you only have to set the amount of water to boil the first time and then every time after that you can keep the mouse over the buttons in the lower right hand corner. Saves on a lot of mouse movement as well.

You're right, using either the mouse wheel or the movement forward and back keys (although there's some minor issues with these keys for now; was told they're working on it) is a great workaround for now, but hopefully aren't considered permanent fixes.
