Menu Navigation with Bound Keys

Kind of funny. I've been posting again and again that being able to navigate through the menus and select different items with the "direction" keys would help do things more efficiently (people probably looked at my post like I'm a doof, heh). Keep in mind I have my up/down/left/right keys bound to the corresponding arrow keys on my keyboard. It seems when inside the menu, however, the game doesn't recognize this; I just, out of curiosity and desperation, tried to use w/a/s/d in the menu and it works to select items yet my arrow keys do not.

So there's some basic disconnect between the keys I bound for movement outside the menu and how they work inside the menu.
