It'd be great if we could double-click items to move them between our backpack and containers. That, or click-and-drag to make the process faster.

Right-clicking could drop items from the inventory as well as pressing the 'Drop' button.

I had an idea of utilizing movement keys in the menu so that as an example, keeping the mouse cursor over the arrow that moves the item and using the keys to select another item would help make it a bit smoother, too. Or perhaps a way to select multiple items at once by holding a "shift" and/or "ctrl"-like button as one clicks the items.

Using this route at least, then one could use double-clicking as a means to use up an item (like food) and clicking and dragging outside the menu box could drop it.

I must admit I find the clicking over here then clicking all the way over there just to come back here to click again and continue on this over and over is a bit redundant. Surely something could be tweaked to help things go a bit more smoothly for us. The best interfaces make it so that you don't even have to think about the desired interaction as this helps one get lost in the game more easily.

This brings to mind another idea, hovering the cursor over an item in the inventory and pressing A or D depending on what container its in should move it. Selecting multiple items should definitely be a thing too.

I just posted in the bug forum about this, but I guess you can use w/a/s/d in the menus to select items. I've bound my direction keys to my arrow keys, which for some reason don't respond in the menus. I was told they're working to fix it soon.

I feel silly for posting this as though it doesn't work at all, as people who bind w/a/s/d for movement are probably thinking I'm off my rocker, heh.
