madnad Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I love this game, but much like irl, I have a poor sense of direction. I spend most of my time getting lost. It would be very useful to have some navigational equipment. There are a few options that are in keeping with the 'realistic' spirit of the game:Map - the map could look hand drawn to look like your character has drawn it, and it fills in as the area is explored, with a current position marker, and also the ability for the character to mark their own points, such as where they left snares etcFlags - the creation of flags could be done at the table with cloth and sticks. This would help the more directionally challenged to mark out routes to regular hunting/harvesting spotsCompass - maybe a rare find or created at the crafting table. Although, a compass without a map is pretty useless.

Have you tried sketching your own maps? I found I got to know the environments quite a bit better after I did this. I also noticed I started to recognize landmarks I hadn't seen before. You might try that at out and see what happens.
BaneofBadgers Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I agree. i have had my fair share of getting lost. I think that there should be a crude map that the character draws himself, and maybe in a house you could find a compass.
sir ice Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Making a map would be nice. Personaly, I'm an amazing tracker that can memorize roads and stuff really easily(not the names, but the layoutXD) I do think it would be cool to get an achievement for mapping MOTHER FRICKEN EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!sry
