octavian Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 While toning down the brightness of snow at night is nice, I've reported it, and the breath brightness, since before .244, I think, and I still can't understand how it can possibly be brighter than what's around it. Snow at night is awesome because it obscures what little you can see.And your breath, I still can't understand how it can possibly be brighter than what's around it either So art decision is the only reasonable answer.https://youtu.be/t09jt-Ii0ZQ
ThorsHand11 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I agree that that the falling snow and breath is a bit to bright. My problem with night time lighting is that the clear nights are far to dark. A clear night in winter with a full moon and snow on the ground is bright enough to navigate by but I still end up stumbling around trying to see the path in front of me.

Maybe, nights should be as bright as they are now only during new moon.
bethany Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Nighttime snow was bumped down in the last hotfix.
octavian Posted August 14, 2015 Author Posted August 14, 2015 Nighttime snow was bumped down in the last hotfix.Yes, the video was recorded in .258, and I opened with "While toning down the brightness of snow at night is nice...I still can't understand how it can possibly be brighter than what's around it."
bethany Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Yep, just a general note to let everyone else know that that's when it happened.
