MiniNightmare36 Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Having the birds shootable will make for a small food gain.
danicusrex Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 and feathers for arrows. Maybe game birds like grouse?
ethomas21 Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 This would be cool, admittedly, but in-game it would be a waste of a bullet IMJ. Better if there were also (because I will definitely want to shoot at least 1 bird for fun) an option to use snares to catch birds. Maybe there are areas like for rabbits where crows, or game birds, hang out and could be caught with a snare. And the extra feathers could be used in a new crafting item...?
danicusrex Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 This would be cool, admittedly, but in-game it would be a waste of a bullet IMJ.So... don't use the gun. Shoot the birds with an arrow.
kamajutsu Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Having birds sit atop trees, and houses, and posts could be cool. Shooting them could yield feathers and a tiny bit of meat, and a fresh gut.TWEET TWEET
ThorsHand11 Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I would not even attempt to kill one of these birds with the rifle in game for 2 reasons.1. There would be hardly any bird left a .303 round would destroy any meat that you could harvest2. The probability of hitting a tiny bird with a single rifle round is very small so most likely you would waste a bulletSolution: shotgun.
ThorsHand11 Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 yeah but it would still be hard to hit a bird with an arrow compared to a shotgun. Also a shotgun you could get it while it was flying.
