Several Ideas

Hi Hinterland Studio and Community!

I'm playing "The Long Dark" now almost a year and still love it!

But i have some suggestions ideas that i really want to discuss that could improve the game.

1.) The 256 Update was a step in the right direction! It's awesome and The long dark put a mark on itself.

But i rellay would love to get back the old shortcuts i used like pressing "m" for lighting a match. At least i would appreciate the possibility to set own keyboard shortcuts in the game to do that.

2.) I think the game is lacking some very usefull stuff that could give "the long dark" a new dimension of survival:

2.1) A Tent could be very usefull to sleep outside and could be a better version of the normal slepping bag with improved wind protection in addition etc.

2.2) Other stuff that would be usefull and would perfectly match in the world could be gadgets like a compass.

Just some suggestions.

3.) In my RL i am a Biologist and i have several concerns with the behavior of the wolves. They are to aggressive and i dont like it that they attack the player even when they have catched a deer or rabbit and should be satisfied for a while as long as i dont get to close.

But in my gameplays (which you can see on my youtube channel (see playlist of the long dark if you like - in german):

) the wolves always attack at a very large range which is hard to explain.

It would be better if they would try to intimidate the player first for 30 secs aprox. and only attack if he does not leave or gets closer because a wild wolf would normally not attack if he already has some food.

I hope you understand my points.

If i have more ideas i will write them down under this posting.

I had some problems to join the community (because of stupid german email providers that block your emails for silly reasons i don't get) but now i made it! ^^
