Scout Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 I pick up my rifle. My hand reaches for a round, hard and smooth, and I reload the gun. I give it a once-over, and prepare for the shot. I raise the gun to eye-level, and position my finger on its smooth trigger. The cold metal of the gun grips at me. My eyes follow the buck. The gun slides through the air, iron-sights locking onto the unsuspecting animal. Do I aim for the chest, and potentially only wound the animal? Or do I go for a fatal headshot, but potentially miss? With no more food reserves in my pack, and one last rifle round in my gun, the rifle in my hands feels heavier. The air seems colder, the deer farther. I take a breath--the cold air rushes in and seems to lock my lungs into their expanded position--lift the rifle an inch, and fire. The BANG of the gun cracks through the air, reminding my lungs that they can release what they hold, my muscles that they can move once more. Blood squirts from the buck's head, and I can almost see the round as it spins and pierces the skull of the animal, tunneling through it's brain. It falls, making a crunching noise in the crisp, freshly fallen snow as it collapses, lifeless, and ready for me to harvest.I've been able to get headshots off of deers more and more now. (They're very satisfying to watch, I might add.) I use to never be able to get the first shot off the deers, and now I have something like a 40-50% headshot rate. I play a lot of FPS games when I'm not playing TLD, but I am aware that the shooting in TLD isn't the most perfect. Am I just getting better at shooting, or am I making better decisions on whether or not to sneak closer or shoot? Has anyone noticed a change in their shooting results pattern?
JErosion Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 its probably a little of column A and a little of column B. They have made a couple of changes not during a previous update, also experience in game teaches you when to and when not to fire
