MrMuffinsJr Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 This is just a small feature that I think needs to be added...I'm out in the wilderness, freezing to death, the hype is real, I light my lantern so I can gather the little warmth it provides so I can survive, then bam. No hands. Just a floating lantern. I feel it takes away from the experience that there's no limb graphics. Not showing feet? I can live with... Just can't live with no hands... What are your guys opinions?
octavian Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Since you brought up the subject, my only problem and question apropos hands is why is my character mashing the lantern, or, more worrying, the flare, to his/her right eyeball? :? Barring flare defense, you're using these tools, presumably, for light, so navigation by extension. Seeing where you're going. Which is pretty hard to do with a flare mashed to your right eyeball. I have a video posted, here, somewhere, and traveling at night from the office to the lookout with a flare lit is just a depiction of masochistic behavior. Especially since I do want to see where I'm going. Not only is my right-side peripheral vision blocked but my eyes can't adjust to the darkness as they would if my beloved character lowered it's beloved right arm so I can see something other than fire, like where I'm going, maybe perhaps if at all possible if they could find it in their hearts to consider it.
MrMuffinsJr Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 Yes, hopefully they fix both of these problems, as well as many more. I'm not saying it's a bad game, it's an excellent game that can be mad 100 times better

ThorsHand11 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 The floating lantern if a bit of immersion breaker, also the lack of hands on the rifle. On the topic of hands, shouldn't it be harder to light the lantern or hold your rifle steady when you are freezing. At this point your body would be shivering and keeping your hands steady would be a challenge.
