elloco999
A saw is generally considered a better tool for processing long limbs into firewood than an axe. I would like to see a buck or bow saw added that would be a faster for cutting up tree limbs and also degrades a little less per use.
Boston123
YESIn reality, I generally don't use a hatchet for wood processing. I use a bow-saw to cut down the limb, or a 3/4 axe to cut down the tree, then a saw to cut the tree into chunks for splitting.
toebar
yep, a no-brainer to have really. In game, there's a variety of saws that could be plausibly available:-bow saw in trapper's cabin (or other cabins)-folding camp saw-general crosscut saw on a workbench-big'ol crosscut saw mounted on cabin wall
EternityTide
I once felled a tree in my back garden that was a good 40 feet tall, and about a foot in diameter, using an axe - but also a bow saw, without which my task would have become significantly more tiring and difficult.Saw is an absolute must for any wood processing. madrepityu
I think I would like to craft and use a buck or bow saw in the game.
