sir ice Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 what if mice could be found indoors, never as an npc, but as food. that didn't make much sense did it... the point is that it would be awesome if putting down a snare indoors could catch a mouse! maybe mouse fur can be used to repair clothes that is 95% or higher as mouse fur is very small. And maybe you could get 10 cooked mice to make a shish kabob. lol
nicko Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 seriously lol harvesting mice for fur! next we will want elephants so the mice can scare they away.A bunch of new animals have already been suggested. I would rather seem one of those first

I would rather seem one of those first It simply sounds cool. rodents have the instinct of survival, and love in houses. It would be cool to find house mice, not even as a major update.
Pyro Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 There isn't much meat on a mouse so very little nutrition can be extracted from it. Also how calorie intensive this game is already. I don't foresee any efficiency of adding mice as a food source.
Patrick Carlson Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 And maybe you could get 10 cooked mice to make a shish kabob. lolWith a sapling cured for 20 days or so. Yes, this could work.

random calliope Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 If mice could pilfer your stored food and had an appetite for green birch and maple and chewed holes in stored clothing then cool. They'd be a menace and a challenge, but I'd think worthless otherwise to catch. Are they carniverous?
Scyzara Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 (House) mice are omnivores, they eat pretty much everything they find including meat, fish, carrion and deceased other mice. Regarding shish-kabob:Are you aware that an average mouse weighs about 25g (of which at least 15g are fur, bones and their giant intestine?). I very much doubt that eating a mouse will EVER return you the calories you need to catch it in the first place.
selfless Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Never Cry Wolf (film-1983) Biologist studying wolves on the tundra sees them eating mostly mice, not elk as expected.Tries diet for himself... (previously they were just pests)
